Why wouldn't you? it's the best possible weapon for whm, healing and even MND based enfeebling (because i don't feel like using a space for a mythic wand) unless your one of those MP junkie WHMs, dryad only for starter MP (or if you aren't 71 yet to wear the mace) and Light staff is just the basic whm wep when you dont have the dryad/healing staff or mace, as for pld unless he's macroing it in for healing, yea, don't quite get that.

Why would I use Templar Mace for anything but cures?
Capricorn staff for haste/erase/-na's until I get a goliard saio/swift belt/blessed+1 gear. After that, it'll be a Seveneyes.
Idle in Terra's usually. Apollo's of course for Repose.
Fulltiming one single weapon on any mage job just seems a bit lackadaisical to me.

Templar Mace is pretty much worthless for anything that isn't a cure or Stoneskin.

Fixed again, just remembered you can get more MND with the T-Mace and a shield than Kirin's Pole.

Lol, because curing is i don't know, what a WHMs MAIN job is? don't be silly with the responses as i stated in a previous post use COMMON SENSE, of COURSE mace is best for CURES, i didnt say cast banish with it on lol, being a little to strict here, didn't mean use it for every spell, OK so maybe i worded it wrong, but i did not mean use it ALL the time with every spell. My quest for competent WHMS here has left me with lost hope of most knowing what they are doing. you'll have to excuse me.

tbh the blessed gear alone has alot of MND, together with errant you can probably cap Stoneskin even with no weapon, so i really doubt weapon understone skin matters if you have other slots MND heavy i think you only need 95 MND if you have /sch under light arts which is incredibly easy to get.

Uh. Where's the need to attack me buddy? I never once attacked you. We were talking about fulltiming a Templar Mace. If curing is your "main job" as a WHM and all you have time for, then either your tanks suck or you're getting assraped by a lot of mobs. In HNM, on most mobs I hardly have to cure. The PLDs that tank for us prefer to cure themselves to help keep hate, unless the situation is dire. Which means, hmm, I'll be casting mostly Haste, Regen 3, Erase, and other na's. And curing other people outside the tank party if I can.

You want to talk about competent WHMs? You're talking to one. Haste set is a godsend for the long recast time spells. And if you're often healing with tanks that prefer to cure themselves, unless they are low on MP or low on HP, you won't be curing them much. Most mobs with slow+elegy are a joke for tanks, and therefore for WHMs as well.

Edit: Edited some of my paragraph, cause I felt the insults were unnecessary. <.< I guess we're agreeing on the same thing, you just didn't know that full-timing meant "full-time" when I said it. ^_^
