Shit is bullshit is what it is.
Where do you live? Stations near me are stable at around $3.60/gallon
Gas in NY is still fine. I do expect the price to jump over the weekend though.
Went up about .30 a gallon here overnight. If someone is gouging at 5.50 a gallon, they can expect heavy fines.
Woah...gas has been dropping around here. ~$3.58/gallon
it went up 25 cents over night here in NC -_-
Also, this may be a really stupid question, but why does a hurricane lead to higher gas prices?
Because of the fear/possibility that it will destroy the oil rigs and pipelines in the Gulf of Mexico
Speculators speculating it may hinder some trucking or logistics? Only thing I can think of.
Gas dropped below 3.50 in Athens today. 3.48 now.
here in south central ky it went from 3.75 when i got off work at 2 am and shot to 4.68 by noon
A few years ago, there was a gas scare. I forgot how long ago exactly, probably over 5 years. Anyway, a guy at a small family owned station had the only station in our town. He caught wind that people in the next town were lining up down the road to get gas because of the fuel scare. He decided to be a dick and triple the price. He was fined so heavily for it, they had to close it down. If gas prices are more than .40 or .50 a gallon from last night, it's likely to be some individual owner thinking they can gouge. I'd look around for a chain station for a better, more consistent price.
bought mine for 3.62 last night.
is this Hurricane's name 'Greed" by any chance?
Still 3.50 here. Woo.
Thought our gas prices were the way are because of oversea's issues...?? Someone want to explain this to me in retard terms?
