Somehow, a looming Hurricane forces people to notice lowering gas prices, resulting in lower gas prices until the hurricane hits, which forces the gas price to skyrocket overnight.
I guess hurricanes triple the supply of oil.

Price gouger, period. Call the police, they'll fine his ass into the next decade.
overseas is where we get our "crude" oil, unprocessed oil. we bring them here to refine them and turn them into gasoline and whatnot.
up to 4.20 here in AL now...they're saying it'll be above 5.00 by tonight. it's a national thing though, i've got friends in PA and gas jumped .40 cents overnight as well.
Let me go check the gas prices here in texas. I'll report back once I have a price. I think I saw it yesterday for like 3.60
So we only refine enough for a couple days at a time and if something happens to those refineries gas goes up over 40 cents a gallon in less than a day... I'm not buying that shit. Even my dumb ass little retail business I work for has redundancy plans. akjdljkgdg
Just got home, paid 3.80
3.63 here in Flagstaff, AZ
Looks to be around 3.33 down in Tempe/Phoenix
$3.90 for piss California 91 Octane
All the gas stations near me dropped their price today. Average price for 87 hovering in the high $3.40s.
4.09 in detroit.
your low petrol prices make me sad ; ;
We're at 1.389/L these days which, with the currency conversion, works out to $4.96/gallon - Victoria's usually one of the most, if not the most, expensive major population centres in Canada for gas
gas is 4.60-4.90 here in Clemson SC. Filled up last night for 3.46
Fucking LOL. 3.45 a gallon here in Dallas, TX. You guys are getting gouged, and hell, I'm in ike's path.
3.96ish in Southwest VA was 3.60 or so yesterday
One stupid fucking store, on the ghetto end of town famous for it's chicken, gouged to $4.69 a gallon when everyone else in town is at $3.85. lol
Its not gouging(at least by the station owners), the wholesale price ( for those who dont know, thats what the station buys it for) of gas went up massively overnight, most stations are actually selling it at a loss atm, one news story said the wholesale price was 4.48 a gallon, so if you are still under that, consider yourself lucky.
So stations that are buying their gas now have to have extremely high prices, and most stations around here are just plain out of gas because idiots buy it all in panic. Those that bought their gas a couple days ago or so can afford to keep lower rates, thats why some of you have it still in the 3 dollar range.
some cities around here are running out of gas now from people panicking. there are stations rationing out now at 10 gallons per customer. with people panicking they're actually going to bring on the higher prices quicker...once the station runs out of the gas they bought at low prices, they'll have to bump up prices to what they paid now.
