Mannequin question

With the new Almirah synths and past furniture changes, mannequins aren't as usefull as they used to be.

The question I have is:
If you drop a mannequin, is it possible to get the same mannequin back later from the NPC in Mhaura, or is it pretty much lost forever. Ive looked every where but it doesn't look like anyone has ever taken the chance.

I want more space but the sec I drop it is the sec SE decides to fix them... Anyway, if anyone can answer this question it would be much appreciated.

after you do the quest, you can buy mannequins from the npc for like 275k or something.

Yes you can, but for 100K each and only the ones you don't have, you can have one of each race/gender until you have all 8. But the question is, can you get them back if you toss them since your only allowed 1 of each type.

Is there a NPC that stores mannequins? I got almost all of them and I really want my inv back without just throwing them all away.

The event storage moogle wouldn't take them. I also tried to trade one to the mannequin NPC then not select a replacement, but that didn't work either.

I have all the mannequins on two different characters, all bought at the old (higher) prices. I don't even have them in the MH layout anymore (no space, other things have better storage), yet I hate the thought of dropping them. Storing them would be perfect.

Actually, more perfect (perfecter?) would be us having a second room in our MHs, more space to display stuff! I sent in a suggestion to SE about that, but I'm not holding my breath for it to happen.

Cool, but amazingly big. If you put all of them in your layout you won't have room for much more. c.c They should greatly reduce the 'footprint' of it in your layout. Maybe cut it in half so that people could still display them and have other things as well...
