Freezing.

I seem to have some freezing problems.

Every time i switch from ffxi to say vent or wanna check website or anything at all.. i freeze up for a good 10 secs, then when i wanna switch back to ffxi it freezes up for another 10 secs, and when i mean i freeze i mean that i cant do anything at all, cant hear shit, cant hit anything at all... just a really bad freeze up lol.

Im not good with pcs so can i get a step by step if anyone knows wtf is wrong with my laptop lol pleeeeeeease.

Open up Task Manager (right click next to the clock or Ctrl-Alt-Del and select Task Manager). Select the Processes tab. Click the CPU and Memory columns to sort by usage and see if there's something using a massive amount of CPU or memory. What you're experiencing may be an issue with your system swapping resources around to reprioritize whichever app you have in focus. Normally, on more modern systems, FFXI, vent, etc aren't using too much CPU power and shouldn't hang the machine like that when swapping. So most likely, if this is the case, it'll be something else.
