Getting a Mythic WS Help

Ok noone has been able to give me hard info on how to obtain a Mythic WS, and the wiki page confused me as well, so I ask for help here.

Just tonite I obtained my Wightslayer, and I want to get Expiacion WS.

Oh and ive also read the WS quest post, and I do have the AN IMperial Heist Quest active..so this means I need to trade him the blu sword, then another nyzul weapon..then my blu sword quest is started?

And my runic disc is only 20..so I need to do like 4500WS points to get it?

No, you don't trade him your BLU Sword, you read it wrong. You only need to trade abquhbah a second weapon if you want the first one you traded (before the patch) back.

Just trade your BLU sword to the Immortal in Muckvik's Junk Shop and the quest will be activated. Get 250WS points and get a runic key, don't waste your time with all those WS points.

to the OP. the npc you want is in muckvick's junk shop in lower jeuno. he's dressed as a blue mage (an immortal) you can't miss him.

talk to him while wearing the weapon on the appropriate job and he'll start the quest for you.

DO NOT trade the weapon to abqubah; that's to obtain the mythic weapon not the ws.


you'll need around 5k points to unlock without a runic key.

I've got enough pts to enter floor 96, but I never got a runic key prior to the update, and after taking a break for awhile from FFXI, i'm a bit confused.

I never dealt with the disc before, only done floors. If I enter floor 96 w/out the disc and clear 100, once I exit nyzul I've got the option to claim a disc yeah?

Or will I need to start from 0 and work my own disc up to 100, regardless?

Just wondering if I need to prepare for a long Nyzul haul or not^^

Your post isn't very clear except that it sounds that you're going to need to do the long haul. If you want to be certain do this: Go to permanent key items, near the bottom. Look at all your key items below Boarding Pass (item that lets you board ship to ToAU zones in Mhaura that everyone has) and above Pure White Feather (item that lets you access WoTG zones). Is Runic Disc on there? If not then you need to get one and do 1~100. If it is, then go to Sorrowful Sage at the Assault Counters. Ask about completed floors. If he says 95, then you just need to do 96~100. If he says anything less, then you'll need to do from whatever floor he says +1 up to 100.

Edit: This is just to get runic key so you only need 250 WS points. If you want you could also just do enough Nyzul to get the weapon and start the quest, then a few thousand WS points with a lower floor disc.
