Get a tank party that consists of 4 PLD+RDM/NIN, a bunch of BLM and try again before we completely rule out the possibility of defeating AV the normal way. AV has 100% spawn rate now, all it takes are a few well thought strategies and 2-3 endgame LS can team up to hold AV and take turn to test the them out.

Not every single LS has enough number of DRK to do zerg fight. Not everyone wants to play DRK. However, if SE leave things as they are ppl are going to level DRK.

Multiple tanks and BLM are used in SE video, it doesnt' mean it's the ONLY way to defeat AV. However it's still one of the safest setup to hold AV and give the players sufficient time to test their strategies. Once ppl figure the secret out (i.e. to prevent chainspell meteor etc) it shold be possible to add more melee or reduce the number of tank jobs.

Edit: there is a simple solution to prevent DRK zerg without nerfing BW/SE. All SE need to do is to make AV use invincible at least once prior to 30% hp, just like our Ouryu friend

At this point, I just assume the 'real' way of defeating AV is a pain in the ass, so to most, the zerg method would still be prefered.

We have an interesting situation now. Player resourcefullness and success embarrasing SEs policy of being stuborn. We don't need your 'secret' anymore. There are only three real possibilities at this point now:

- SE just leaves it alone, and the chances people find the 'real' kill method is relatively low.
- SE nerfs either DRK, Souleater, Bloodweapon, or Kraken Club because yer doin it wrong.
- SE, crying in despair and just wanting to be loved, finally tells people how to do it correctly. Some people try, fewer have success, and others still zerg away.

At this point, I'm just curious what happens. I'm leaning towards SE just being lazy, and not touching anything, since I doubt they want another player backlash. However, I have to say, all the complaining is getting so annoying. I'll take retarded AV kill theories compared to QQing all over DRKs, KC, and AV anyday. Grow up people, this is a real wo/mans game! :-þ

HEY, I've never even fucking unlocked DRK before. How would I know Souleater increases damage bye at least 170+. Sure I've partied with a DRK and seen them zerg with it, but I've never known for sure. I also knew after I posted that I should have read up on it.

anyways its not that i dislike drks. i am just looking at what has happened in the past, based off what se has done to me shows that we will see a nerf i do not see them letting drks rain king for much longer.

also fyi you did need a hagun to pull the 2k+ dmgs off. it was 2mil, now its 30mil vs 2mil i guess, still a lot of gil but i guess not the same as 30mil.

edit: ill be in class all day QQ, 9am-7:05pm with 2hrs off only...

I know ppl are going to call me a troll but there must be a legit way to kill AV, albeit a very long one. Those characters in SE AV video are just as fragile as normal players, somehow they manage to survive 10hr+ fight without triggering chainspell meteor. And we still haven't figured out the secret behind spamming 2hr.

SE didn't change AV HP and behaviour to make DRK zerg possible. They made it 100% spawn rate so that players will have more opportunity to test their strategy on AV. And lower HP means shorter fight and less chance of full wipe due to AV's 2hr.

After you go and read the 10k+ posts about AV tests and then go test yourself for hour upon hour you can come back and say this if you dare. And the video was not a 10+ hour fight, it was about an hour and a half where they used developer cheats.
