Sticking some of the best gear in the game on a mob that is effectively unkillable is a dick move. Repeatedly fucking up and letting a few pieces of that gear trickle out due to poor programming or playtesting, and then returning him to an unkillable state, goes beyond "dick."

The only reasonable course of action would be to lower his DEF and HP to make him zergable by other setups, so why are we all so convinced this is nothing but a Souleater nerf? Oh yeah, that's right, because they've done this bullshit repeatedly in the past.

I hate to beat the tired "FFXI is not WoW" drum but in this case it's accurate- FFXI content is not for everyone. Some of it, such as AV and relic weapons, is specifically designed and intended only for the best of the best, the elites among the elites. If your complaint is that AV is inaccessible to all but the very best shells, I have some words for you: you are playing the wrong game.

You know why DRK isn't going to get nerfed soon? Because to do this shit, it needs a 30 million dollar item. When SAMs, BLMs, and RNGs were overpowered, anyone just buying gear off the AH could put out ridiculous numbers. Now, if just anyone could put up KC DRK numbers with the job, then I'd agree with you, but they can't, so you're just stupid.
