Fucking awesome, from start to finish. This season is going to be great.
Nothing can fill the action/horror/drama/comedy hole that was left in my heart after Buffy and Angel were taken from us, but Supernatural helps to ease the pain.
Dean lied to Sam. He remembers everything that happened to him in hell, and also time is not relevant in hell therefore 3 months in hell seems like untold years. That is why Dean was surprised when he saw it was only 3 months.
I too wish the original Ruby was back, and this season needs more Bella as well. I thought the opener was pretty fantastic, especially at the end when they revealed who sprung Dean from Hell. I was like aaaaaaaw shit, plot twist!
Uh...how did you draw this conclusion? The whole flashbacks thing would imply repressed memories of a tramatizing event, or at least that's usually what it means in these kind of fiction. And he seemed surprised that it was four months because he expected it to be much less, or at least that's how I interpreted. Nothing in the episode seemed to imply to me that he remembered hell, or that he was lying to Sam. If he remembered the whole thing, he would have known who the angel was when he saw him because would remember who pulled him up out of hell.
Okay, then maybe I'm just an idiot x_x But to my defense, I watched it at like 1am while half asleep (and drugged up on sleeping pills).
Going to take some time getting used to the new Ruby, I liked the old one D:
i didn't really like the old ruby lol, annoying blonde bitch imo.
I'm kinda interested in seeing how the Angels angle plays out. Are they the "good angels" or the "fallen angels". What's up with Castiel.. etc.
Don't remember they actually specified that demons were exclusively human. they made references like the 7 deadly sins and ruby etc but don't believe they actually said unless you know something I don't which is possible.
as a side note anyone know where I can watch these episodes online (talking about smallville and Supernatural) for some stupid reason CW doesnt have them up.
I believe it's possible that demons are fallen angels and humans who went to Hell. So I guess we'll see if fallen angels come into play here.
His "ability" to burn out eyes and the noise he makes when he speaks doesn't necessary show he's good or bad. He shows the characteristics you'd expect of a true Angel of the Lord but there's no saying how much power is lost when one falls. And I'll need to see at least one more episode to see how they'd pull off a difficult scenario if the Angel is a good guy. Wonder if they'll pull the "usual" thing and claim that God wants humans doing all the work so the Angel can only guide type of system. Pretty common and based on actual religious beliefs so I see it happening.
I'm real glad to see more about Sam's powers. With the introduction of the Angel we'll most likely see that as a big theme this season, whether the powers are demonic or actually from God.
Edit: More about demons all being human, I'd also say there's more to it than just them based on the fact that the usual assumption in Supernatural is that ALL superstitious and religious beliefs ARE true at least for the evil side of things. So there are all forms of evil spirits that probably do not have human origin. However it's possible most of those creatures are purely still on Earth and only Demons and Fallen Angels inhabit Hell.
Ruby clearly stated on one episode that all demons used to be human. I think it was the episode where Ruby's past was revealed (the one with the witches).
She really did say ALL demons used to be human, then a few seconds later she said "every one that I've ever met". Her second statement does open up the possibility that there are some demons who aren't human, but she just hasn't met them, but the first statement doesn't. I guess which of these will be true is up to the writers.
Edit: I could be remembering this wrong. I'm going to find the episode and check.
Edit 2: the first statement never happened but the second did.
