They should have made the alexandrite drop of ramparts in nyzul isle also. That way you can kill two birds with one stone. but of course not that would be to easy. on odin ive seen few people have them for 2k and they got scooped up fast. but thats still 60mil. which i guess isnt unreasonable.

There are many, many people still selling these for 10-20k on asura. This is just insane and SE fails again. 30k is still way too many, not only because of the gil cost, but there are still not enough dropping for more than a few people per server completing in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time.

You act as if you can only work on one requirement at a time.

Well, since Nyzul Isle needs tags, and Assaults needs tags, and Salvage needs you to clear Assaults that are worth lots of AP, it does end up being... well, not mutually exclusive, but close.

If people are willing to pay 10k for these and not realizing the total cost adds up to 300M then let them.

Anyone serious enough and in good standings to complete a mythic weapon will hold out the 6-12 months it takes to clear the rest of the requirements and wait for prices to drop to 1-2k.

Starting from scratch it takes atleast 8 months minimum (1year more practical) just to clear the first few requirements of assault/nyzul/enhinjer.

Yeah, see Suiram's post at the top of page 2.

Even working on the other three requirements simultaneously, it's still about 30 weeks.

Ok 1-2k might be a bit cheap. 3-5k sounds about right as that runs around 90M-150M for total cost. An avid salvage nut can make 300 a week on average ? so that should shave off a few tens of Mil in the long run.

Assuming they're the only one in their shell getting any, yeah.

Shells that can make good money wont care about how much effort is for a single person to get the money needed for a mythic weapon or how many runs would have to do a Salvage only ls, they will just go out and buy alexandrites to get those weapons for their members.

So I would say that Alexandrite price will hover around 4k, maybe even 5k for the first Mythic weapons, 120 - 150 mill doesnt seem to far from Relic Weapon prices and they are something new so cant see how prices will go under those 4-5k.

one relic weapon now costs <40m, seriously.
anything over 30m for a mystic is absolute bullshit, alexandrite should be 1k per, or they must lower the amount needed.

While I agree that the number of alexandrite is quite high, it's absurd to think that they should be sold for 1k. These will sell at whatever the market will handle for them (which seems to be at least 5k each for them). Short of a server-wide boycot of alexandrite prices, I don't see this changing until alexandrite start dropping more often. Lowering the amount required will not reduce the price on these.

5k is still a rediculous price for them. Currently we are talking about something that costs 3x as much as a relic and also has a ton of other requirements to take care of. Many people are not going to be able to meet all of these requirements, believe me, beastmen kings and 100k Einherjar ichor alone is going to stop many people. I can think of only a few ls on my server including my own that can fullful these requirements. I think it will get to a point where there will be an aweful lot of stones gathering up but a much smaller portion of people able to actually fulfil the requirements, eventually prices will drop to an acceptable level. 1-3k would be about right i reckon

Yeah, my Einherjar LS beat Odin on Sunday, and we're apparently only the third LS on the server to do so, meaning a h-u-g-e majority of the server's player base haven't even met the requirements for the second quest.

Heck, even within our shell, there's only 3 of us that have all the stuff needed.

    Huh?

At 5k/alex, mythic weapon comes to a 150m. Using the lowest prices of 5/6/7k for byne/shell/bronze comes to an average of 90m for a relic (this is not counting the last 3000 of course). Since when is 90 x 3 = 150?

My guess is you're calculating a relic upgrade by the cost of the hour glass multiplied by an average currency return, etc. However, you can't really say that's how much a relic costs. If you are lucky enough, you can probably get a LS to let you sponsor a few runs; but it's unrealistic to fully sponsor a relic from stage 1 to stage 5. If we were going by unrealistic methods to obtain relic/mythics, you could just as easily say that a mythic weapon can be gotten for free since all it takes is AP to enter salvage and alexandrites drop from salvage for free, albeit it would take a few dozen years more.

Having said all that, I do agree that 30,000 is a bit too high. If the large coin purses from an area boss were 100%, then 30,000 is almost reasonable. But having found out that this is not the case, I think the average alex. per run is too low to meet the demand for quite some time.

At any rate the price of alexandrite will be set by whatever the best weapon is... I know enough rich PLDs are around at least on Valefor to keep the price high (like, more than Zilart relic) for a long looooong time.

i saw bynes shouted for 3k last night, there's definitely a hit in their price due to the update. and yes, i am counting the cost of dynamis sponsor multiplied by an average number of coins per run, 250. i think its retarded to buy singles at an inflated rate when you can get a dynamis shell to sponsor. not everyone is going to be able to sponsor dynamis like that, but then again not everyone has the gil to front for one. oh, and even then i didn't count in the 3k coins you get back after, which, depending on the relic, could even push price down to 30m.

it is absolutely fucking retarded that alexandrites are even over 5k, that is 150m.. for one weapon straight up. as it stands, one relic, sponsored runs entirely, takes well under a year, while doing the runs like nyzul isle, the assaults, and einherjar, even overlapping them, takes closer to 2 years to do, not counting the time it would take to farm alexandrites. SE said themselves, that these weapons should not be as good as a relic, and therefore should be easier to get, i don't see the truth in that statement.

You're upset, and I guess you feel you have that right. But most of what you are saying is either flat out wrong or biased.

    1) I am sure you have confused people offering to PAY $3k for bynes with people selling them. Its a common mistake. There are 2 or 3 current threads on the prices on servers and I have checked and no....people are selling bynes for 4600-6500 on servers. Shells may be as low as 6800 and bronze mostly are in the 8+k range. There is simply no relic even remotely close to $50 million, much less $30 million.

    2) No. Prices have not fallen on servers. Again, there is simply nothing to support that and unless you have some facts to show that, its more like your emotions are making you feel that way. I've looked and I wish they had fallen, but I don't see it. Who knows tho...maybe in a few months they will if people who were collecting dynamis currency decide to swap to mythics.

    3) You use the word retarded like most people. Its meaningless. This is your point: a person should get his LS to do all the runs for him. All you have to do is front the dynamis hourglass. Ok. People have explained that the LS might do it a few times. You are naive if you think any shell will do 30 runs to get 1 person all their currency. Why would a LS let someone pay $500k for a glass and takeway $millions of currency? If you want to think people are stupid for buyng currency when they have no other option, then I guess you have to live in that world.

    4) Someone has already shown that it does not take any where near a year to complete all the quest requirements exclduing the alexandrites. Re read that.

I think you are under the wholly misguided assumption that SE wants everyone to have a mythic weapon in a couple months. Even in a year. They have said in no uncertain terms that these will be just as difficult to get as RoZ relics. And if you are following the news, there are probably only about 2,500 RoZ relics in existance after 4+ years.

While I agree that 5k alexandrite is too high, it will not stay that high. As it accumulates and as people run out of gil buying them while others decide that selling them is better than holding onto something they may never use, the market will dictate the price. Right now, demand exceeds supply. That is obviously because the supply essentially just started. Its silly to think the price can stay this high when the excess quantity accumulates into thousands on each server. Excess means more that people want to hold, which of course now might not be many people.

Burtgang is just too good compared to the rest of the mythic weapons, at 5k/Alexandrite, it only costs a high profile endgame LS 150mil to purchase 30k Alexandrite. And it's really quite affordable considering the benefit it will bring to the whole LS.

Also lowering Alexandrite requirement will only increase its demand and help pushing the price up. The only way to bring it down is to increase the supply.
