How do you break Ixion's Horn?

I know you can kill it easily without this, but I'm curious to see if there is some reliable method out there to break it (and make use of that fun gimmick)

Critical hits from the front is what I hear usually (and it make sense when you compare it to hydra, toa beastman..etc), but it doesn't seem very efficient or reliable.

we did 3x warrior mighty strikes back to back one time with WSs and what not , didnt break his horn.

so I am assuming its something else.

It goes frenzy when you break his horn, so it's better not, I know my LS did it once, but I have no clue how.

Only thing I heard is that it become more squishy, can't use thunder moves and take more damage. That's why I'm interested.

Mighty Strike doesnt always cut hydra head, but it usually is..it might be the same for ixion with a lower % of breaking. However, I do agree there is something a bit wrong with this idea, and that's why I would like to figure out how to break it.

I tried stone spell and thunder spell when it was charging its horn (can't ground or overload it!), but no result . I tried many physical attack and ws, but nothing happened either.

I've broken the horn doing TA gekko from the front so i would asume a decent ws or crit from the front has a chance to break it. When horn is broken it loses it damage resistance in the front and cant perform lightning spear or wraith of zeus. When it does damsel memento it gets its horn back and proceeds to go bat shit crazy~

It's critical hits for sure and possibly weaponskills from the front. We've broken it's horn off many times.

With it's horn off it takes normal damage from all directions, doesn't do lightning moves, loses most of it's magic resistance, and does much less damage to to surrounding melee.

We used to break it's horn then send all melee in to go crazy on it. Would drop like 60% in 5-10min. But is much more practical to just SA it from the back. Due to the fact it can take a long time to break it's horn or it can grow it back directly after it has been broken with Damsel memento.

The only time we broke it was a Batallia Downs pop where you can position it at a Eld tunnel with melee on top fulltime swinging (which is out of AoE). The cure TP move makes its horn grow back.

I was hoping there would be a combination of 2 factors to break it faster or something...oh well. Back to sneak attack.
