I remember reading that Atari sent out some sort of pin or something to anyone who could beat certain high scores in certain old Atari games... Though I also don't remember if they ever followed through with the deal or not.

I got the notification on 09/16/2008 it's still listed as Billing Information Received. That's a rather inordinate amount of time IMO to be stuck in that state when people have already started receiving theirs.

I gotta admit one thing about this thing that impressed me a little, and I don't mean the pewter real life necklace garbage. The ingame item has a NEW look which is a nice step up from SE's previous methods of introducing gear graphix a.k.a. Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

I got my email on... 9/16/08 saying that the Billing Information has been recieved by UPS. I don't think this means that the package is actually in-transit. The site says that "...a label has been created for your shipment. Once UPS has possession of this shipment, the tracker status will be updated."
The purchase confirmation e-mail says that my purchase ID number was 251, so I'd like to think that my package will be in the first stateside shipment. I ordered the night the talismans went on sale.
All in all, I don't expect to receive my parcel for at least two weeks... SE more than likely won't pay for expedited shipping.

oh sorry guys! i guess 'good gear' is lost in translation when it deals with real money! yeah, the ingame item is terrible either way you look at it. waste of money if you spent real money for it. you like the real necklace.. then by all means... but don't go around pretending that the ingame talisman is good. you're kidding yourself if you do. dont try and justify to me about why you would spend that much money on a terrible ingame talisman, to me it sounds like you're just trying to convince yourself.

I received an email from UPS on 9-16-08 stating that they have received billing information and a tracking number was given to me. Nothing has been shipped yet though.

You only have to use this item about 10 times for it to pay off itself in terms of the time saved. So that's like what 20 days? And for those people who do Einherjar this is a very efficient necklace.

If you said that a month earlier, I would've bought one ;o;
