The thing everyone should be optimistic about is that they didn't emergency maintenance the AV thing allowing drops to be distributed at least for a short amount of time for some ls'
That's exactly what we should have a problem with. Sticking great drops on a mob that nobody ever kills is bad enough. Doing that and then fucking up the programming a few times such that a few linkshells actually do get that gear before they rush to fix it is pure bullshit.
Well does anybody remember what normal melee hits were doing to AV before the patch? I honestly don't remember since it has been awhile since he had popped for us, but the post patch damage did seem a little low to me. It's a very small chance that his physical damage resistance was glitched higher than it was supposed to be and they just fixed it, but here's hoping.
i predict AV can now remove Shadowbind with Depuration X.XOriginally Posted by Square Enix

That is why we have logic. It could mean that one WS will one-shot it the next time it is popped, but it is much more likely that they adjusted it's damage resistance to Soul Eater. That is much more likely because that is the way that people were defeating AV in 20 seconds, which I believe, and I am just going out on a limb here, isn't really what the developers intended. It could be many different things, but considering the evidence we have around us for the last couple of days, I would suggest that a SE nerf on AV is the most likely scenario.
For good, bad or indifferent, we will have to do more testing to figure out what they intended for us to do, or we are just going to be stuck again.
my money is on a built up resistance to damage over a short period of time making all zergs on AV impossible. SE is mean enough to do this. T.T
IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!
I just read on KI that a GM let slip that the maintenance was for AN ability, I think they just made AV resistant to souleater, or something like that
Edit: You can go there, he has a pic of the convo, GM says it and you can see it, noflameshere>.>
it was posted here as well
p.s. gms as a rule have no clue what they're talking about
I believe it, I think the wording in the update notes kind of confirms it
It could have just as easily been a change to shield mastery, which was posisbly the cause of the super shield phenomenon.
