Anyway, my favorite concert was probably when I saw Stone Sour at the World in Manhattan. That place used to have some great metal bands. Too bad it shut down :/ Seeing Jimmy Eat World at Irving Plaza was also pretty close to tie though.
I went to that Linkin Park tour also. We won a contest and actually got to meet Linkin Park though. It was really awesome because they're my favorite band. We went the year after again with pit tickets, which was cool, but I didn't like the bands as much as the year before.

i agree the topic is unfair, because i can't pick one, and i'm going to forget so many shows but off the top of my head...

radiohead last month in mansfield, ma was incredible, i forget how bloody awesome they really are live until i'm there realizing it again, every single time. i somehow managed 9th or 10th row tickets too, way better than my previous times with them.

the mobius band at a really small bar in northampton, ma during the end of 2007 was so much better than i had expected, this along with the most recent radiohead were extra great because of the person/people i was with. sounds corny as hell but i was really happy to be with certain people those times, which is what makes those nights stand out.

nine inch nails at the fleet center in boston for the first with teeth tour, just because, i'm biased. any nine inch nails show for that matter, ever.

sigur ros, i forget when but years ago, at the (rip) avalon in boston, it was the first time that i saw them and i was in complete awe. you could hear bartenders opening bottles on the other side of the venue in between songs, because everyone there had their god damn jaws dropped.

every time mclusky managed to make it to new england, complete chaos at every show, i miss that damn band so much.

the mars volta in february @ lupo's in providence, ri - they bring it full force every time (this past sunday night at the orpheum/boston was great too, just too fucking hot)

tool has had some insane shows too, i'm up to about 12 now and they are starting to blur together, but the hartford, ct show during the lateralus tour was a memorable one.

this fall so far is pretty awesome too, in the next two months i have tickets for: a place to bury strangers (tonight), sigur ros, mogwai/fuck buttons, fujiya & miyagi, tv on the radio, future of the left, nine inch nails

The Strokes in San Francisco. Was for the Room on Fire tour, one of my favorite albums. They also played a few good songs from Is This It which made everyone go fucking nuts.

Really tough call.. ive been to so many shows, mostly punk rock shows. the first show i went to was Lagwagon in montreal i think that was in 96, god that freakin ruled... and saw Lagwagon again about a week ago (with a bunch of other times in between), the concert was just as awesome as it was back then. Probably my favorite band live.

beside that, i seen a lot of other memorable concerts from bands like NOFX, Propagandhi, NUFAN, Less Than Jake, Rancid, yadda yadda..theres just too many lol.

Previous show before that was Garbage '06 at The Tabernacle in Atlanta.

Shirley Manson for the second encore: "We just spent 2 years recording new fucking material for you, we're not going to fucking play lick the pavement".

They rocked out to Bad Boyfriend again instead XD.
one of my two favorites was back in '95 (I think)

Garbage opened for the Smashing Pumpkins
all in all it was a great show

I also enjoyed the Gigolo Aunts/Wallflowers/Counting Crows show in '97

This year's PAX saturday concert was pretty awesome too:
Anamanaguchi, Darkness of the Hillside Thickets, MC Frontalot and the Minibosses

It was pretty damned loud though and the acoustics were off a bit. By the end of it, my wife and I were listening in the lobby next to the theater and it sounded a lot better. yes, I'm old and you kids listen too your music too loud. Get off my lawn.

Marilyn Manson in 2001's Holly Wood tour. It was in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The show was amazing and we sang and screamed so much I lost my voice for 4 days.

Second would have to be Global Gathering 2006 in Miami. We spent over 12 hours dancing too all kinds of Trance DJs that day, got to see Rob Zombie and ended the night with the sounds of Nine Inch Nails.

On my 21st birthday I went to see Slayer in a 1500 person club (Mastodon and Killswitch Engage were the opening acts), as part of the Still Reigning tour. Was incredibly epic seeing them in such a small venue. Sadly, due to the size of the venue, they didn't actually have blood raining on them for the finale

Also, even though the MTV was attached to it, the original Headbangers Ball tour (Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, and Lamb of God) was awesome. I owe a chipped to Lamb of God's "Black Label," back when they were still allowed to do the Wall of Doom at their shows.

Also, Rage Against the Machine and Moody Blues (different concerts obviously) at the Gorge.

Damn, that sounds like one hell of a concert.

My favorite concert will have to be when I saw the White Stripes touring for Elephant in D.C., only because that was the first concert I had been to and they're my favorite band by far.

The other 3 I've been to are close runner-ups. I saw the White Stripes again in Fairfax, Va for their Icky Thump tour and was real close to the stage, and got to make eye contact with Jack <3~~~

The other two were Projekt Revolution tours with Linkin Park. First time was in '07 and I got to meet the band. I wish I could've been front row for that concert since MCR was there and they're one of my favorites. Went again for the '08 tour where we were up front and got to see the Bravery play, which was something I've been wanting to see. Definitely a fun concert that night.

they were really great, with only 3 of them they pulled off really impressive versions of their songs, i didn't know what to expect really (besides knowing i liked their albums) and it was just awesome. if you haven't, check out their new covers ep, their daft punk cover is awesome.

and i'm really really really jealous about dinosaur jr. & ratatat. damn. ratatat's playing here in a few mondays and i have no idea if tickets are sold out but maybe i should figure that out, thanks for reminding me.

Honestly I'm not that big a fan of them, they just always happened to be opening for other bands I wanted to see (namely Slayer, In Flames, and Lamb of God).

Oh also, the opening of the EMP in Seattle. Filter (sucked), Kid Rock (holy fucking damn does he put on a good live show, I was amazed), Red Hot Chili Peppers (great), The Up in Smoke tour (Eminem sucked, rest was good) and Metallica (obviously great).

Minus The Bear when they've been to Edmonton were epic. Both times in a tiny bar venue. The first time they were here they did Jager shots onstage during the show.

Moneen is also great live. First time I saw them I stood outside for 45 minutes in -25 weather to get in since they were letting people in very slowly. So worth it though. Plus they hang out with the crowd before/after the shows.

But best concert ever was probably last summer when I saw Incubus. The crowd, the energy and I was in awe the whole time. Been to dozens and dozens of shows, and that one had the best atmosphere of all of them.

Saw Mars Volta for the first time when they opened up for SOAD in '05 (I think) Most of the SOAD fans booed them afterwards, but then again if you're there for System Of A Down all you wanna hear are power chords and generic songs. Mars Volta fucking blew them away.
