I' quit a long ass time ago, but kept up with this since AV was the bane of my old LS. I must say, SE shits on it's consumers more than any other company I've ever seen. I don't know who runs their consumer relations department, but they should be canned after that call. What's the justification? They want people to try to beat a gimmick mob that was released years ago and yet to be figured out? It'll be god damned shameful of the company if they don't release the "trick" after this nerf/buff/whatever...throw your playerbase a fucking bone.

I couldn't agree more. I keep asking myself why I give them my money when time after time after time they've shown that player innovation is frowned upon.

The worst part is now AV is 100% pop so we'll have to deal with that bullshit after every JoL. Thanks everyone who wanted this nerfed. We can't have people killing AV.

People will figure it out eventually, and knowing it take less than 2hours (with 18 probably) make me think it won't be that bad.

100% pop rate make it easy for people to play with it, and unlikely before, we actually believe it can be killed now.

No it probably wouldn't, this seems like a straightforward resistance to me. Besides SE didn't nerf it just so you have to include 1 extra job in the alliance. If it does work expect another maintenance to fix it.

im thinking its what my LS leader said, and its some sort of phalanx. It cant be dispelled and it just cuts a portion of your souleater dmg.
that 300 eagle eye doesn't look too appealing. My LS mate did a 1400 Steel cyclone on AV a few days ago (mithra bravura with full buffs) so maybe they ended up increasing his overall resistance to any kind of damage... lol. Oh well, i got a killshot at least, and it was a glorious 8 days. i might as well focus on the positive on all this <_>; good drops, good fun etc. It was cool seeing other LS's in other servers (like Odin especially) team up and put their differences aside.

Thing I do believe some people might have over looked about Drk zerging AV:

1) How many Drks it takes to do it.

2) Additional Brds and buffers to buff up Drks for zerging something /massive/ like AV.

3) With all these jobs on standby 90% of the time this ally is outside of the ally fighting JoL = MORE members/jobs.

These facts being pointed out more than likley the LS(s) that were upset with those LS's that did have the 10+ Drks waiting in an outside ally with atleast 3 bards never stood a chance to kill AV with or without zeking it. They want us to fight it a way whare more stratagy is involved... well ok sure after you get 1 shot from an AM2, Ga or a 1 shot hit from AV let's talk stratagy, or let me see their approach as they seem to think we are all going about this all wrong. I myself believe am like most players if shown a better meathod will use it, or see a tactic will impliment that as well... tactic Zerk = fast nice can go do something else rather than waste 2+ hours of my time to get some /chance/ at actually winning a fight.

I've decided none of this is due to the players' whining. The dev team still thinks of AV as the showcase of their cleverness in programming mob behavior, and they are personally offended that anyone could kill him without jumping through their little hoops. They forgot they're programming an MMORPG and not their own little version of The Incredible Machine--an Incredible Machine that's still liable to rape you with Meteors and then give you the Benediction finger even when you get it right.

Had this been done during CoP era, they would have nerfed Souleater alltogether. Conservative wouldn't be the best word for SE, considering they are now walking on eggshells when it comes to nerfing as they have learnt from their mistakes with subscription loss out the wazoo.

That being said, they're not nerfing fun, they're just nerfing the fact you can kill their big boss in less time than it takes to kill a Phuabo. I'll remain optimistic that he's very killable.

If they gave Dynamis Lord, Angra Mainyu, KV and Kirin the same universal undispellable damage resistance I think even they know they'd lose all their customers. I guess they draw the line at AV because apparently the CoP team still has veto power over any reasonable changes to their terrible fucking content.

smartest thing i've read thus far, and its not that they aren't trying to make him killable, in fact, they've obviously made adjustments to make it so. just go back to the drawing board. learn how to actually earn that gkt and sash, not just cry cause you can't slap it 600 times in 8 seconds anymore and get free stuff.
