They don't have to necessarily make it like Animated Weapons, they could use the Aspidochelone model of 'low damage/high regen mode + do something fairly obvious = return to normal damage mode'

This is likely the AV template they'd like us to believe in but their 'puzzle' in its current incarnation is to do something completely unobvious and where the price of failure is that not only did you not stop his regen but he gets the requisite 60 seconds before he starts to rape your alliance with absurd AOE damage.

All wafik is asking for is that AV be brought within the reality of in-game mechanics. Unresistable 1500+ AOE seemingly at random is a lousy way to tell gamers they're doing it wrong.

Well at this point I think bombarding them with email is the way to go. Be mature, but angry and literally send massive amounts of complaints. Like every single person send like 5-10 every day. The point is bound to get through eventually.

A live AV Kill is the ultimate solution to the AV problem. Have the servers compete for who gets to see the SE team fight AV in real time and they go at it, while the players get to watch in awe at the almighty SE strategy.

Everyone else gets to see the streaming video from POL.

Id personally kill to see SE play their own game off the Atomos server while the fans watch.

Actually the sure way to get them to listen is to include in the email how you were going to try their next mmo, but have seriously reconsidered because you feel the developers are completely out of touch with what the players want. Threaten their future profits!

Some people were wondering about damage. These are from sept 06 kills, before the fall ranged update, and long before velocity shot. They ARE with flashy shot, but AV is only level 84? Based on this damage, I believe AV has a straight 50% physical resistance.

SE is just cryptic with their hints. They can't let us have everything, tbh.

1000s of people (save like... 2 people?) never could figure out Goblin Drink/Goblin Wolfman/Parade Gorget, and before that no one could figure out Infinity Core/Strange Apparatuses until SE just flat out told everyone.

From there, people still dunno how Almighty Apkallu pops-- despite all the "luck" needed, there's still a way.

I agree with Wafik; there's a way, people just need to keep at it.

I really wasnt surprised that KC DRK got nerfed specifically on AV, but it is very disheartening for the player-base because this was the one shot that players were getting for the excellent drops from this NM.

If AV were released last week and this happened, I'd say it was just, fine and good. But this NM has been in the damn game for 3 years now. The players have not figured him out and have come to the point of being sick and tired of trying to figure it out when all attempts have failed and anything that breaks new ground wasn't intended.

In short, what SE really needs to do now is come clean and show us how to kill AV, completely. Full detail, in text, no vagueness. And tell us exactly what we need to do to prevent Meteor/Bene spam. The video may have been helpful if they came with captions to point out what to observe instead of vague textbox zoom, but otherwise it helped nothing, and they should know this because they run the server and can tell when AV has been killed or not.

Someone needs to try a WAR SAM RNG MNK zerg. If that doesn't work, maybe it's the multiple damage types thing, and throw some BLMs in the mix. If AV still rapes you, I guess try the SC+MB with the element of the day that was mentioned in the first or second page.

Well, SE's own excuse of the video being short "because an 18 hour video would suck to do" is completely out the window. No excuse now.

Even tho it seems logical, since the "Jailers" have AV jailed, and killing him releases him, SE video had no one with any Jailer weapons hitting AV or even standing there.(I believe) The only hint you get is it zooming into the chat when they all 2hour, but it seems there's no logical reasoning on proper 2hours, just them all spamming it.

I also didn't see a blm zerg(only counted 4), or DD zerg.. they had low DD/Melee imo.

Keep in mind though, it was released before the "nerf" and 2hour cap... so it was prolly an 18hour fight like it was intended to be, no telling what you have to do now. They need to release a new video, with the whole fight in it, but honestly it will just be another Bullshit video.

Hell, I doubt they even really did an 18hour fight last time. It was prolly just them spawning it at different health levels each time and them recording the "fight".
