No announcement on the JP page yet, i wonder if there will be a fest over there or not... I think I'd be better able to afford a plane ticket from Seoul > Osaka than Seoul > Hollywood ^^; And I'd be one of relatively few english speakers there, so maybe I could break some news ^^

Edit: I would SO bring a bunch of those buttons with me to pass out there too.

I'm calling it now, it won't be a new item, but a re-hash of the old ones.

Remember, the past two conventions have also lined up with the release of a new expansion pack. This one isn't. And anyway, I don't think the datminers found anything special.

The fanfest item is in the game now. It is the Moogle shields with enhancement "Moogle Japery" whatever in the hell that is.

That'd be the only way to get me to give a damn. I have gone to both Fanfests, and while the first was a lot of fun, the second was a complete waste of time. All I have to say is 'Cheese Sandwich' and everyone who attended will agree with me.

TL;DR, SE fails at getting in touch with the community.

Interestingly enough, the event is on my birthday...

That'd be a worthy reason to go! :D (But I still probably won't, December's a bad time at work and I'm already scheduled for a long vacation in November. :/)

Yes, they walk around with character/server on their tag. I loved the event last year, met a lot of cool people from my server, and at that time most linkshells on our server had a fair relationship with the exception of 1 or 2 douchebags I met. However I refuse to go this year, because if I came in contact with anyone from a certain server-transfer linkshell who ruined our server via the packet-bot over the past half year, im sure there would be words exchanged, possibly fists, and I would end up getting kicked out. Though I think barely any of them would have the balls to go there, and quite a few of them would need their mom's permisison.

You haven't taken a look at the recent update's items? There are two Moogle Shields in there.

Given the announcement I think we can guess, which items the players who bear the brunt of maintenance aren't getting. -.-
(And, no, having to compete with the whole player base in a drawing competition doesn't count.)
