It's an interesting decision for her to "forget" Clark's secret. But it's also kind of a shitty one considering it was an interesting dynamic since she was Clark's main confidante. Now he really is alone, but if that forces him to move forward in accepting his destiny, it's a good thing.


And maybe we'll finally see some flying.

Yeah, which means Chloe may move on with Jimmy (assuming they actually get married) and move into Superman lore where Clark is alone with no one knowing his secret.

I did love the episode.

There's still a lot of people that know his secret though.. mainly Oliver and his crew, and Lex. Oh and Pete.

I don't see why him flying would be such a bad thing. They seem to have tied it to him "embracing his Kryptonian destiny" since he could fly when he was re-programmed as Kal-El at the beginning of season 4, when they introduced Lois.

It seems like he's developmentally retarded though when he's already out of Smallville for the most part and the one thing he can't do, even though he knows he's capable of it, is fly. And Kara flew, who was "in suspended animation" in the dam for over ten years? Granted, in the flashback it showed she went to Earth before in the episode about Lara, but come on. She also made a mention of her father telling her the Earth's yellow sun would give her powers she couldn't imagine. So she just happened to figure out how to fly super easy.

Clark doesn't fly because he's afraid of heights, remember? I'm sure he can do it if he tried. Last season Kara tried teaching him when Brainiac came back and he brushed it off to go somewhere.

The problem I have with Clark flying in Smallville is that he'll be too powerful. Right now it's perfect because they can still mess with him. But if he can fly? Every time he would be in a little trouble he could just fly away and be done with it... not a good plot move imo, UNLESS they do it right and think it through right down to the very last detail.

The bald guy is obviously Lex, I think he has been excavated from the ice by brainiac and he is absorbing Chloe's memories. DD brought Chloe there due to the attraction he has to brainiac (why he was attracted to Chloe in the first place). I see a Lex/Brainiac hybrid in the next half of the season.

The writing crew is predominantly the same, the showrunners (exec producers) changed (from the creators Al Gough/Miles Millar to PS3 - Brian Peterson, Kelly Souders, Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer).

And tonight was another great episode. Can't wait til January

It seems like yesterday I was watching my little Clark shoot Fire beams out of his eyes and starting a fire in the classroom on a hott day, because there was some babe teacher that he got horny for.

As for the episode.

Jimmy isn't going to die, in the cartoons he is still one of Clark's best friends that work at the planet together. This episode really brought a lot of insight on things, as in, Lana is, and will forever be a bitch, seeing as -I think- She is working for Lex, that text she got "Did the archer believe you?" either Lex or Mercer. Lana could die, and make the show so much better. And the whole Louis and Clark awkwardness was definitely the best. Epic fucking episode indeed, but I wish Doomsday was a little bigger and bulkier.
