Which anime do you think would make a good game? I originally thought to say just an MMO, but I'm just curious in general now.
First, I would have to say Card Captor Sakura...I don't know why, but I just think this anime would be a terrific game.

The anime thread is in another castle.
Lucky Star.
From what I've seen, game adaptions of anime are pretty bad. Code geass always finds new ways to disappoint me
Games based on anime are almost always bad...
Oh wait, someone already said that.
Well it's true. (Though I must admit I'd play a CCS game)
I wouldn't mind a good Claymore RPG. Could see Geass doing that akin to Xenogears, assuming they'd help hash out the story in moments that presently feel rushed.
The problem with anime-based games is that it's either:
a. playing the same story you've already seen in the anime
or
b. playing a new story based in a random point in the anime's timeline, which usually takes liberties and doesn't quite fit, thus angering followers of said anime, while at the same time inserting new and very bland villians/Mary Jane characters, thus ALSO angering followers.
The Fullmetal Alchemist games come to mind, at least in the first one you basically play a random point in the storyline where Ed and Al are once again Trainjacked, but overcome the odds and then meet a quiet Mysterious Girl (MaryJane char) and are also pursued by a bland Lust-clone villain. The game was okay because of the alchemy mechanic but it got really repetitive and I had trouble even remembering the storyline. I heard the 2nd was better but I haven't picked it up yet.
Claymore would make a cool action RPG, I'm in agreement there. It would probably also suffer from the things I just listed though...
...which makes me wish for anime games to just go away and never come back.
Bleach, because you could never die.
There's already 5-6 bleach games out, mostly fighters.
Black Lagoon. The anime/plot lends itself towards a mission oriented game, which could be executed in a number of genres. I would say it'd work well as a strategic FPS though. Manage the Lagoon company, buy weapons/ammo/etc, accept jobs, plan them out Rainbow Six style (well, PC Rainbow Six style), and execute.
Hellsing, Trigun, Samurai 7.. any one of those action oriented animes would make a "good" game. The quality of most anime games is crappy for the most part.
Just take what people say about superheroes games, and replace superheroes with anime.
Wasn't there shit about a Trigun MMO or some shit floating about for years?
