PANTHERS GONNA WIN THE SUPER BOWL!
No but seriously, I hope they do good this year, we need a good yearI haven't watched any of the vikings games this year so i can't make an informed decision. Although, carolina has a beast of a rookie running back, I dunno if any of you have seen him run but he is just insane, doesn't know how to get tackled. Plus the steve smith thing can't hurt.
We've won both of our games in the 4th quarter so far, bringing back the nickname cardiac cats, so who knows whats gonna happen!
I disagree. I don't think Green Bay is as good as advertised. Detroit hung with them for 3 3/4's of a game, until 2 crucial mistakes pushed the score much more inflated than what it really was. I also don't see Dallas playing lackluster defense again.
Fair enough. I feel the Dallas-Green Bay game is much less regional and much more important to any potential playoff seeding in the NFC, a matchup you may very well see again in January. The Steelers-Eagles game is for bragging rights and record only. Not saying the Dallas-Green Bay will be a better game, but a "bigger" game, which is certainly a subjective term.
I agree. Im not sold on the Packers being anywhere near Super Bowl quality. They're a 11-5 team this year, thanks to so-so Bears and disappointing Vikings and the Lionlosers in their division. They're a solid team, but not one of the best. I expect it to be not even half as good of a game as the Eagles put on for MNF.
So much Panther hate lol. Pretenders? Usually losing a Starting QB, Starting WR, Starting RBs, Starting DE etc... over the past few years takes a toll.
NE should be pretenders too.
Vikings? Really? I mean seriously? Their Defense is good, but we play in the NFC south with the Buccs when they has Sapp, Brooks, McFarland etc... Good Defense is run of the mill shit in Carolina.
The Vikings...with Gus...are you serious? Oh lord...
Green Bay vs Dallas

Vegas has the Vikings as a 3.5 point favorite across the board. That seems high to me, almost as though they want everyone to bet the Panthers. I'm picking 15 home teams this week, and only 2-3 of those I really find questionable. This is certainly one of those.
Even as a cowboy's fan I think the pitt/philly game is bigger honestly, its the steelers first big test and philly needs to proove it can win against a hard nose defense like the steelers. Steelers secondary will play well they pretty much always do, but if big ben gets that arm hurt again and I know their gunna blitz him hard, then it will beintresting to see if dixon can handle the nfl Qb postion.(big fan of dixon).
As much as I loathe the panthers, there is no way they loose o the vikings after beating two quality teams like the bears and chargers, chargers easily could be 2-0 and the bears the same.
As someone who's a huge Vikings fan, it's safe to say Frerotte isn't much better than T-Jack.... so don't expect anything special. Why didn't we get Sage Rosenfels this off-season -_-
I like Brooks Bollinger ; ;
lol, just saw on ESPN that apparently Clinton Portis called in on a radio show blasting Brian Mitchell about negative comments... that was priceless!
"I tell you man, dont worry, clinton poris pocket straight, niggas always talkin about clinton portis, sayin clinton portis isnt in good shape, clinto portis is in the topest shape of any player on the football team, thats what coach says"
That was priceless.
That's just because he's a Badger.
Just checked, he's the 3rd QB on Dallas! Maybe KGB and Aaron Kampman can meet at Romo a few times this weekend and get ol' BB some playing time!
Also...Seppuku - besides having a harder schedule, what have the Packers lost from last year? Rodgers for Favre is looking like a wash, probably better WR depth, we actually have a starting RB from the beginning of the season, defense is still young but more experienced now - O-line is a bit knicked up I guess, but I don't see them as any worse than last year's team that was an OT away from the Superbowl.
(that being said Dallas' offense is scary)
Why don't the Saints make Bush a WR already?
Because it's easier for defenses to gameplan for him if they know he's only going to line up at the edges?
Agreed. They'd like to get him at least 15-20 touches a game that don't include him being a real running back.
Peterson didnt practice today, hamsting.
It doesn't matter what they lost or didn't lose. Favre > Aaron Rodgers. Period.
However, I think Lambeau, for the time being, has lost a bit of its mystique since the NFC Championship. Its not that intimidating in September anyways, to begin with. You've also lost Brett's leadership. Rodgers is a decent quarterback, so far (on a small case study, only having started 2 games), probably in the top half of the league's QBs, but 2 games doesn't prove hes great. So far hes been decent. But even then, he still isn't Brett Favre. Brett Favre is Brett Favre.
Also. Detroit-GB. Does that not leave questions about GB? Yeah, you won. But seriously. Letting the LIONS come back from 21 down?
And where's this run game you mention? You've yet to have a 100 yard rusher so far.
Also..... Dennis Dixon is 3rd on Pittsburgh's QB Depth Chart. We signed Byron Leftwich to a 1 year deal when Charlie Batch got hurt in the Preseason.
