Don't have exact numbers, but my LS is about

    1/120+ Hammerblow....
    4/110 Cyro Gears
    0/10 Cyro Gear
    4/100 Powderkeg
    0/20 Dekka
    2/90 Citadel Chelonian

We are somewhat lucky on Powderkeg and Cyroscopic Gears, albeit that a droprate of 4% is still absolutely ridiculous. No comment about the other NMs, especially Hammerblow.....

Anyway, it's a stupid idea because there is no chest in GG3 rooms, and SquareEnix is stupid enough to set the drop rate to 1%, but I can hope.
    wait what

    what

this is a good idea, in my bg forums? not possible

there's got to be some kind of trick with it, why would they put all those damn chests there

I thought it was a good idea at first, but when I wrote my post, I realized the chest in Arrapago and Bhaflau are pretty common, and a part of salvage event. I'm not sure how much merit this idea has, but I'm willing to test it in Powderkeg room (doesn't hurt to pop the chest after the NM >_>)

That said, our drop rate is way under 1% (close to 0.5% actually), and knowing the drop rate is around ~5% in every other zone, it make me think there could be something we are missing. What exacty...I don't know, maybe nothing, but I'm getting desesperate

It makes me wonder... you say your [B]average[B] drop rate is 5%? That just can't be right. I refuse to believe our average drop rate is 8% higher, 'cause our average in all zones (Silver Sea is 8%) is 13,8%. We've got so many drops that some we've started freelotting some of them to people's subjobs, or jobs which people are lvling and don't give a shit about. We sell quite a few of them as well.

I've kept close statistics about all of our runs, and each zone has:

    Silver Sea: 8%
    Arrapago: 9%
    Zhayolm: 35%
Bhaflau: 41%, with 25% "active" rate, active meaning a rampart which pops at least 1 NM, average of 4 NM's.

I'm still wondering what causes the chest on last floor in Silver Sea to pop or not. I've never seen only 2 chests pop in first room which Wizard claims to have seen. We either see either all or none pop, and I can't seem to find any kind of pattern to it, since the only difference we seem to do is either take north or south route, which seem to have no effect.

    ~5% = 1 drop every ~20 NM = 1 drop every ~4-5 runs.

When I say 5%, I'm talking about 5% per pieces, because Frogs and Chariot is probably closer to 15%

We finally got another Kabuto tonight. I don't keep track of things like some people here (because it's just too damn depressing) but if I had to estimate, I'd say somewhere in the 2/40+ range.

The chariot then proceeded to mock us by giving us Freyr's + Eas again.

I'm not sure what I hate more, not receiving the 35.

Or the constant disappointment of seeing Freyr's drops in the pool.

I've been freaking out the past two Silversea Remnants runs we do because before the update, Hammerblow would only seem to "drop" something if that was a Kabuto. In these runs, I fell for the same thing twice and almost had a heart attack when a treasure box icon appeared next to my name...

    For a friggin Cotton Coinpurse.

I'm not sure where the chest idea came from or if people simply started having it at the same time, but we started with this some weeks ago. We are just sick of SS and Salvage in general now, the drop rate in this zone is just disheartening. All there's left to do is try any kind of possible voodoo one can imagine, and chests related to drop rate seemed like the first good step in a number of voodoo things to try.

After countless runs, we got out first Morrigan's Slops. Yes, no kidding. Ofcourse, this means nothing except that we rolled a 990, but i can't help but find it funny.

We decided to do this after thinking "Well, Hammerblow keeps giving us head pieces, and we only open 8 chests from the 16 on that floor, so might as well!".

As to what I believe? I just think SE placed a very low drop rate in exchange for the easy to pop and kill NMs. Their logic is a disaster.

I was just randomly posting it above. Never heard anything about it before

Your last line is what I fear the most, but compare it to Arrapago, and drop rate doesn't make much sense. Every Arra NM are up, and usually easy to kill. SSR require you to take the right path, and clear a room completely.

This is a very interesting idea actually. It really doesnt make sense for these SSR NM's to have such a lower drop rate.

Can anyone varify how many chests were opened on a Macha's Slops, or Ares Legs drop?

Really though, it takes time and patience, and a stable group. And luck.
    As for this, its either:

    a) luckiest group in salvage history
    b) not correct info
    c) you know the "Secret to SIlversea 35s"

You could go SSR 7 days a week and still take over a month to get a single 35 from it. I don't buy it that theres a 'don't open chests' policy in SSR. IF there were then it wouldve been proven already, same thing as Bhaflau Ramparts and their stupid pop rate (or Mad Bomber for that matter). Every "theory" has been debunked within a few weeks. You can be superstitious as much as you want but its all bullshit in the end and you can only chalk it up to SE being a gayass company only interested in making you do rehashed content for the rest of your damn life.

My group was one of the "Skirmish Pedephorodo pops more on Nighttime Earthsday!!!OMGZ~" because we got 2 runs in a row where they popped and both just happened to be earthsday nighttime. After that we've had a shitton of runs where they didn't pop on earthsday nighttime but did pop on any other random time, so its all bullshit... /angrykid

I don't think it has anything to do with chests. We open all chests every time. I am curious though as to what causes the chests to either pop or not pop on CC floor though, as that is seemingly very random. Sometimes all 4 are there, sometimes none, and sometimes only 2.

And I can assure you our its very much true. We've started selling drops we don't need as there's no reason for 35's to get "You do not meet the requirements to obtain that item".

Dekka doesn't even drop Alexandrites for us, because he's just that big of a whore. All the other NMs do...does he drop them period?
