Wouldn't that fall under the category of "Does TH apply if the thief opens the treasure chest"? Other than the majority wanting someone to blame when all you get over and over is 2x Omega heads, etc..

I heard a rumor that Silver Seas' 35 drop rate goes up if you don't have any Treasure Hunter ability. It's most likely an incorrect rumor, though. I've tried playing with the "Don't open treasure chest" rumor and it doesn't seem to do anything other than stop the inevitable "But I haven't checked all the chests, so I don't want to move up" behaviour of people in salvage.

That worked for all 4 machas coats and pretty much every single other 35 in salv.

SSR is its own salvage. SSR 35s should not be compared to any other Salvage 35s. (Altho Usu head I believe is a higher % like the rest of salvage 35s, as we have seen 3/75 drop)

As of now our static is 0/75 on both Powderkeg and GG3.

Got Macha's Slops two nights ago, which makes our group 2/14 on Powderkeg :D. We started our group about two and a half months ago, but had all done plenty of SSR before so we obviously feel very lucky.

Question for those people who have gotten SilverSeas 35's: Have you noticed which mob you killed last in order to pop the NM?

There's a strange thing that links all of the Silver Seas 35 mobs: You need to kill more than one mob to pop them (Dekka being the exception). Is there a certain mob that you kill last? Or a certain order that you kill the mobs in?

This is 99% likely to be just grasping at straws, but maybe it has some consideration. Hammerblow needs 6 fomor killed, Yanadahn 16 fomor, G.Gears 8 gear mobs and 4/4 gear/gears, and Chelonian 4 Ramparts.

Perhaps we can focus on Hammerblow first to see if there is any pattern. If you get the time, can you report which fomor was killed last in order to "pop" hammerblow (you can tell them apart by their fixed drops), and then whether or not Hammerblow dropped the 35 piece? My group is likely to do that zone tonight and I'll report back later tonight.

You're not the only one that likes Salvage, trust me. Good gear, an actual somewhat short fun event, AND a possibility to make gil. In the past two months, we've made roughly 12 mil gil or so.

Salvage is a win/win event the way I see it.

Any time I've seen Macha's Slops drop, all the mobs were squashed into the back of the room. Call it coincedence, but I've only seen the mobs all tucked away in the back twice, both times it's dropped, never seen it happen / gotten the drop since.

I don't honestly think there is a trick... but on Monday I did a run with my group of HB > PK > GG3 > Boss (need a bunch of usu / morr 25s) and... our taru BRD melee'd Powderkeg near the end (he said he was bored lol) and the first Macha's Slops I've ever seen dropped. So we had him melee Gyroscopic Gears before it died, and we got Deimos's Cuisses too... in the same run. So we told him to melee the boss, and we got Ea's Brais x2 /trash lol. So maybe you just need someone to do something stupid / goofy to make something drop? Still... 2/3 NMs in one run was really crazy, we were all in shock. Overall my SS droprate is :

Our Hikazu Kabuto dropped because 2 people died during the fight. Either you have to trick the system thinking you suck so you can get the drop or its all voodoo.

we used the selfish THF trick, his TH4 only works when he needs stuff

so each run he /shouts what he wants

and it usually drops even tho he's not lotting for it :LD

and only 2 macha slops droped soo far, and no ares legs 35...

im 4/5 on morrigan those legs never drop....

SilverSea runs are really depressing
