It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Just got back from seeing The Nightman Cometh live and it was just astonishing. Before the show they played a clip from their Christmas special.

Charlie asked Santa if he fucked his mom then bit him in the neck drawing a severe amount of blood. Zombie flick blood. Mac elbowed some woman in the face and they were looking for a robot for somebody.

Then they played an entire season 5 episode (doesn't appear to be the episode they played tonight). It was the 2nd show and the crowd was really into it, and a bit rowdy. There were some douchebags. The show didn't start until after midnight and by that point we were ready to get on with it. It went from 0-60 in a snap.

For the most part the live show didn't stray too far from the episode, but with a bit more plot, a couple of new songs, and a lot of DIY low-fi insanity. Definitely worth the price of admission. One of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Some dude and his bitch started fighting/arguing right next to me. Wasn't really pleased

The people sitting behind us were kind of obnoxious and there was nobody sitting on the other side of my girlfriend which was odd (they weren't cheap seats), but overall I was really happy to be there.

Walking out she remarked how many assholes seemed to gravitate towards the show and I agreed. There was some dude doing a Giants chant on the way out and she wanted to punch him in the face and she hates sports.

Mac grabbing Dennis' package may have been worth the price of admission alone. And the ribbon dancing during the first rendition of "Day Man." Too much fun.

Filibuster and Bird Law made the episode for me.

asking the lawyer to go toe to toe on bird law was pretty damn funny after he screwed up some words beforehand

One of the most subtle jokes in that episode was at the very beginning while they're chanting "HOUSE HOUSE HOUSE" and the guy behind them at the bar is joining in and slamming his drink down to the beat of their chanting.

What I liked best about that scene is when Frank starts pointing at Dee going FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH.

I finally got around to watching the season opener and I loved it. Hugh Honey & Vic Vinegar was so hilarious. Seems they threw in the word 'shit' alot more. Dee, "Ohh shiiit, is that a pool?" Charlie's illiteracy & general idiocy was in top form. The last scene at the pool was amazing from the 'gay couple', each characters's goofy entrance & the culmination of them all jumping in the pool(Charlie in his clothes haha). Dee in a bikini was boing too.

Its not their best but it served its purpose of being a vehicle for them to get drunk do stupid shit and fuck up eachothers lives.

Tonight's episode was solid, but god I fucking love Nightman. "He wants me to bang this baby."

I knew they weren't getting very far. I thought it was funny. The scene where Sweet Dee sang Soul Asylum to the runaway killed me.
