This might not be advanced, and you can move this topic if you feel it is needed, but I saw something today at a King Arthro camp that really bugged me (also made me laugh a little at the stupidity of some people). Wall o text warning!

First off, I'd like to point out that one of the players in this whole mess of stupid actually casted on KA when it popped, and started doing so before the "botter". People wonder why the JP players don't like the NA players, this might be part of it!

Lots of end gamers use 3rd party tools including NAs; and i would say, if you are at all going to make racial stereotypes (which i know we shouldnt) the Chinese are who you are referring to more so than the japanese

Not quite, idk if any of you read the questionaire thing elmer did, but they don't like the fact that we are rude to them 90% of the time. Also, I've been camping KA for a long time, and this group never claims it, and one of the players in question, always accuses the claimer of botting, which is funny because he claimed yesterday and "he wasnt botting".

Dunno who you've been asking, or which JP's you've been talking to. They have a weird sense of what is rude. I have never went out of my way to annoy or be rude to a JP. I treat them like everyone else.

The JP were the ones scoffing at people examining them in that topic, which is damn silly when you think about it. So its not my fault they think something simple like examine is "rude", not like Im saying. "Hey ill examine this guy to piss him off." I do it cause I see his/her gear and like "rad dudz"

This is false, things don't pop faster for jps. KA is generally claimed by botters, this is nothing new. I've seen NAs bot claim, I've seen JPs bot claim. They know they can't be caught because they can't be detected. That dialogue is just a typical day at KA.

Idk about the whole JP's seeing it pop earlier then us thing, it's something I've always heard as well but don't know if there's any truth to the matter. I know from character to character there can be big delays on what you see. I dual box a lot and when someone types something in LS Chat a lot of times it appears on my one players screen a good 1 or 2 secs before appearing on my others characters screen.

Back before claim delay and widespread botting, JPs (especially ones on PS2) were practically impossible to claim against, or at least dominated the majority of pops. I remember someone telling me that in the early days of Bismarck (I'm originally from Unicorn) people simply wouldn't camp against a JP called Tanutanu due to the fact that his connection was virtually unbeatable.

Funny I always thought people who knew the claiming system in depth used bots.
Good to know the people who don't like getting pooped on and want to play the game fairly are retards. (Meaning the people who stay away from NM camping because they can't handle bots)

I guess the "smart" people all happen to have their own personal FFXIapp to mess around with so they all know about how the claiming system works.
(Given you could read up on it from experiences with other's botting experiences)

But, in your defense. If someone says the mob spawned claimed or was claimed while it came into existence, then your connection lagged or you're playing fairyfucksXI.

Any mob that hasn't previously popped while you were logged in and in that zone takes an additional .5-1.5 secs to show onscreen depending on your PC. If you pay close attention, you can see the red dot for a mob that fits that condition on your radar before it's targetable.. a bot can claim in that time period if the claim delay for that pop was low enough. So yes, mobs can 'spawn' claimed even if you have a more than adequate connection.
