HTC Dream

Has anyone been keeping up with this? It is due to be out pretty soon, slated for a Fall 2008 release. I've only recently had my interest rekindled for it after a friend mentioned he was going to buy one since his phone had been acting up lately.

Basically, if you don't know anything about it, it's a new phone which will be sold market ready with Google's mobile OS, Android. Other features include, but obviously are not limited to:

-Large touchscreen with haptic feedback
-Full QWERTY keypad
-5 inches long and 3 inches wide
-Keypad that either slides or swivels for easy typing/texting
-Internet navigation controls below the touchscreen display

Not even Android can save this phone from its fugliness (imo) or from the fact that the sliding/swiveling keyboard will almost 100% break off too easily. Plus what sucks is the fact that its coming out for T-Mobile first...I mean wtf.

You should really read up on it, you are almost certainly basing your opinion off of the prototype phone demoed awhile back at CES.

Focusing your opinion on the HTC dream would be missing the point. Might as well say that you don't like a pc case, when windows next OS comes out.

I was thinking of getting this - can't get an IPhone because I'm with T-Mobile, this looks purty nifty.

I'm definitely going to go to a T-Mobile store and play around with the phone for a while but there is no way I'm switching to them.
