I keep seeing this topic when I scroll through and it keeps making me SAD.
omg I loved Courage the cowardly dog. Some of those episodes were beyond epic!
Why exactly are they getting rid of the toonami block though? What are they gonna put in its place... reruns of the same shit they play every single day? Problem w/ CN the lasy few years is that they are changing their angle and workin on the Nick-Jr crowd now.. they should bring back Doug then >.>
Sig = some fanart I found while looking for some WoW por... I mean Shaman specs... Yeah.
Full pic here Found it somewhere on DeviantArt by Magui Chan ::edit:: oh yeah nsfw.
My favorite was from one of the OVAs (I really got into that show man, although I remember seeing it on another channel before Cartoon Network)

MegasXLR was a badass show, even if it was one of the relatively new shows
I never did get to finish watching the end of YuYu Hakusho on Toonami. last ep i saw on there was right before the older detective dieing guy opened up the portal to demonworld. I had to download it a few years after D:
and for adult swim... all it has to do to be better is to give Brendon Small more shows!
Yeah. Sadly, YYH had to finish it's long run on Toonami early early in the morning at like 4AM EST. ._. or CST. I can't remember. Either way, it was really fucking early, and it pissed me off, but I stayed up anyway.
That "bang" at the end made me want to cry.
in the Pardon Our Dust video what show is at
40-45seconds and the quick clip at 1:39 of the little boy?
40-45 seconds in = Ronin Warriors.
1:39.. looks like Gundam Wing.
Figured you guys would find this as interesting as I did
Can definately see a sharp decline in the amount of good as years go by =/Past Lineups and Premieres

These are some of my absolute favorites that -havn't- been mentioned yet
Blue Submarine #6
Beast Wars: Transformers
Cardcaptor Sakura
.hack//SIGN
Cyborg 009
.hack//SIGN, Blue Sub #6, and Cardcaptor Sakura were definitely fun. I loved Cyborg 009's main theme. So addictive.
I kind of feel the same way, in high school I felt like my friends and I had this secret pleasure that most people didn't understand or have any interest in. Shit, when my friends found out about Hikaru no Go we got so into it we started playing Go whenever we could adding yet another dimension to the inaccessibility of anime to us. Now, everytime someone I know discovers an anime be it Bleach/Naruto or something older I get more and more apathetic about enjoying it. I think part of it, for me at least, is seeing something happen in an anime just makes me think it doesn't compare to the original experience of seeing Dragonball Z, Cowboy Bebop, Love Hina, Slam Dunk!, or Evangelion for the first time. At this point outside of the remake of Full Metal Alchemist no anime really excites me.
I think ultimately I would've gotten into anime had it not been for Toonami, one of my local tv stations showed Dragonball, Speed Racer, and Sailor Moon when I was a kid so that was my first real introduction to it. But, I definitely think that Toonami and later Adult Swim sped up the process by a few years.
I was wondering why Cyborg 009 sounded so familiar, so I YouTube'd it and smacked myself for forgetting about that show. It really was awesome. Q_Q
<3 the ending song. Genesis of Next is win.
tbh, the lineup looks OK to me all the way till 2006 (but I had already stopped watching at that point)
That lineup is missing shit. Most notably the total lack of Gundam shows.
But I forgot about Beast Wars, damn man that brings me back.
EDIT: Oh never mind, I'm just incredibly blind.
