Having read all this I can kinda see both sides to the arguments made here about SA.

First of all there's the point that they are cockblocking the full FFXI endgame community by not posting info about PW by and keeping it all secret. In one respect I can agree that if they did post their knowledge it's entirely possible another LS could nip in and grab the glory of the first PW kill. If that's important to them then I see no reason why they should tell anyone what they know so far. They are doing all the work and it's up to them if they impart any findings or not.

However there is also the other side of the coin which is that SA (and all other endgame linkshells) would never have gotten to how they are without the wealth of information and knowledge posted on forums such as these. So in that respect it's looks like they take everything they need and then give nothing back. Of course that's a huge generalisation and I'm not for one minute saying that that's what they've done..... but from reading this thread it could easily look that way.

On the subject of selling items to members I'd be very pissed off if some people got stuff and others had to pay out. But a few pages back JackL did list all the items they got from AV and explained why some people had items offered to them at huge discounts. Most other LSs would just sell and not even offer the discount to members.

Personally I'm not a fan of selling items before gearing your members. But then again these aren't exactly common drops that we are likely to see again any time soon.

I just feel that having read this thread that SA are getting a bit of a bashing here that's a little undeserved, even though I can see both sides. However the childish spamming of this thread by some of their members is not exactly classy either.

There's more than just 2 choices guys:

- Like the lotting system.
- Stay and complain, stir up some drama and get kicked.
- Join another linkshell.
- Make your own linkshell with lotting rules you feel are fair.
- Play solo.
- Quit the game.

I don't know the details of SA's lotting system, but the linkshell still seems to function. This can only tell me that it works for the people that joined. To anyone that feels they can do a better job at distributing gear or running a successful linkshell in general, I'd say make your own and go for it.

huh? since when <_> lol; I havent seen a Fafhogg in months. We're not a Kings LS. We fight a mob every 2 weeks for 15 min that gives us at least 2 bodies that ppl have to stand 3 hours for everyday for a once-a-week pop. Only king we ever go to is KB, and even that isnt on anyone's priority lately.

i think people are jumping in the bandwagon too soon w/o even knowing the facts.

This isn't the first time a Linkshell kept a strategy hush-hush from other Linkshells. If anyone remembers back when HNMs were just starting up in NA Community, there was a Zigma vs BG thread about Fafhogg strategy and how BG tried to cover it up.

There's one thing keeping it to yourself when it comes to dominating an HNM on your server vs other linkshells, but when an information has been shared back and forth on community boards between multiple Linkshells, like someone said, it's just a dick move.

All of the above are good, and imo legit reasons not to give away w/e info they may, or may not have gotten from their secret PW pop(s). Plus they alrdy said they'd share their info once they work out a strat, so wtf?

One actual LS member has actually complained, possibly 2 other are displeased according to the poll and yet this thread is at 12 pages. Times have changed with the sharing of information, however, I remember years back when KV first came out for the first few weeks when someone finally did kill it, no information was immediately released. Kirin strategies were non-existant and most people had to figure it out for themselves. SA released info about AV and shortly thereafter AV became raped and the subsequent patch occurred. While we all know that AV was going to be fixed, it may have taken SE longer to notice. I don't necessarily agree with what they're doing with their drops, but they're not my fucking drops so I guess it doesn't matter. If people are still getting a shitload of equipment from the LS, I don't think they're crying too much about AV at this juncture.

Sacks/leaders SHOULD get more things because they organize and plan things and they are the people who run the shell. Think of your work (unless you are living in poverty or some ultra low class or homeless person), isn't there a hierarchy? You get paid a certain amount, you get paid less than your boss, your CEO. They get more pay because they run the company, they have a nice Ferrari and 7 figure house. Are you suppose to get the same as your CEO? Seriously, when you live in a capitalistic society, why try to impose socialism into a game?

If you don't like it, (same if you don't like your job IRL) go start your own business (linkshell) or find another job (another shell). I don't get you people who bitch about this, go live in Russia if you hate capitalism that much.
