Why do Temple Cyclas and Melee Gloves still say "Enhances Chakra effect" when, by the rule, they "augment" it?

My point was that they're "known" in the FFXI community. How I feel about them is entirely irrelevant.

I also don't think everyone's trying to be like them, considering there's God knows how many threads on this forum that aren't nowhere near as desperate as the OP's.

Why not just have a fun and constructive conversation? I guess this is why JP use anon boards... This is just an idea, but when replying to a thread, if you have something to say about the topic, then say it, and if not just let it sink to the bottom, rather than bump it and make comments because you don't approve of someone who created their character on <insert server here>. Then maybe we'd see some actual progress and we wouldn't be still trying to guess at things like the value of drop rates and Treasure Hunter.

I have no clue who you are, and I don't give a shit. I do give a shit about you presenting completely unsupported and untested theories and ideas. If you'd had ANY proof of anything you're writing, I'd gladly read it, and hell, even support it. Errm, I still think the word enhances applies. Increasing the modifier is just use for the formula of how much hp is returned. Removing a bad status effect is something that chakra already has as its base job ability (poison and blind).

If Chakra didn't remove any bad status effects whatsoever or add any good status effects whatsoever, and these equipments gave it the sudden ability to do so, maybe the word augment would be more appropriate.

I see augment as a possible serious, adjustment to job ability almost transforming it into a new one. For example the way Murgleis "augments" convert makes it like its a new ability "Convert II", and not something elementary like "Convert +1". As for Temple Cyclas I think the adjustment is much closer to suggesting a "Chakra +1" and not a "Chakra II".

I don't think there's any serious point in speculating. While it can be fun, its never really gotten us anywhere and all you get is a pile of theories of worst case scenarios that seem to disappoint people even more. Whenever an item is released with a "stat" we don't quite understand, people seem more apt to jump at the conclusion that it will completely fail rather than the possible likelihood that SE created something we'll like.

I want to remain optimistic that DRKs and MNKs will enjoy their mythic weapons if they choose to upgrade them and they'll be really happy with their new augments.

Poof is a notorious MPKer and BCNM thief who could not get into any decent ls on Fairy, and spent all her time leveling all her jobs to get a Maat's cap but never took the time to get to know how to play each job. As you can see from her threads, she is also highly egomaniac.
She did make a youtube video talking about me though. It was rather creepy.

This thread does serve to augment her reputation, rather than enhance it.

As for the topic at hand, I think we can agree that TH adds a small percent for more drops from a mob but more THF does not make a mob drop desired items at a very noticable rate.

Both are 66. I want to take MNK to 75 but I wouldn't consider getting the weapon. My main is PUP and that's the only job I'd seriously consider getting the weapon for. However if I find myself having another 150 tokens and another 100k einherjar points, I'd consider getting the scholar one.

One thread I made was about sharing a guide i made for people that are always asking me about Nyzul Isle and I kept having to repeat myself. I wrote the guide just so people could go read that and leave me alone. I shared it in case anyone wanted to tell friends of theirs they can go read that instead of asking them for help.

Another thread was just suggesting that we don't know what augment means and we shouldn't be so quick to class Liberator and Glansfaust as the next Claustrum.

I made another thread that tries to look at TH a little differently than the theories that all the bonuses are applied as raw percentages and might more accurately be based on factors applied in a base 2 system that gives items a base rarity value.


So, seriously, what did I do for anyone to criticize me as a person for? Are you calling me names because some else did and you feel like I'm an easy target and you want to boost your internet self esteem at my expense?

So far I've heard things saying that I call GMs and get people banned. I've even heard people say I've had GMs take items off other players and give them to me. I'm being accused of random stuff yet there doesn't seem to be any victims. Nobody has exclusively claimed to be a victim they are just saying they know one and that victim doesn't even have a name. Oh, and I MPK people repeatedly. Wouldn't I be banned? And why would I be calling a GM on people for MPK and why are people complaining that they know people banned for MPK because I called a GM, but then saying that I MPK. That makes no sense it's like you are implying the Terms of Service don't apply to me just because I've made a few more GM calls than most.

Seriously, if you want to accuse me of something, provide a screenshot, or at least a victim. Otherwise, quit trying to feel special at my expense.
