One thread I made was about sharing a guide i made for people that are always asking me about Nyzul Isle and I kept having to repeat myself. I wrote the guide just so people could go read that and leave me alone. I shared it in case anyone wanted to tell friends of theirs they can go read that instead of asking them for help.

I made another thread that tries to look at TH a little differently than the theories that all the bonuses are applied as raw percentages and might more accurately be based on factors applied in a base 2 system that gives items a base rarity value.

Again, a lot of legit criticisms on the method you are using to do this, and you blatantly argue/ignore important points that you shouldn't be. THAT is why people are so easily welcomed into bashing the fuck out of your ideas and you yourself, because you give them reason to.

this is a lolthread and probably going nowhere but I feel the need to point out that Glanzfaust could very well be incredibly awesome. Temple Crown and Gaiters are still "enhances" Dodge and Focus, so we can assume it isn't just lame potency.

There's a Gaea on Odin with Maat's cap (who claims to be a girl) same one? I have no fucking idea.

My character was Poof on Fairy server. Ever since I moved, a few people with really bad reptutations on my server who weren't allowed in my LS like Thunderblaze, Toth, Kinesis, etc, started bad mouthing me to other servers.

Some people actually bought into it because a first impression is everything, not to mention people were pretty quick to be prejudge anyone from another server.

Toth, for example is really bitter about a comment I made about him a video. He threatened to sue me and said he was contacting his attorneys on KI. (Made a big fuss). Everyone loled. He's hated me since. Honestly, the comment I made was something about him sleeping with his uncle or whatever. And I even said "Toth". LIke I know what the hell is real name is.

His argument that his "team of attorneys" (Toth is a very wealthy), would prove that I was referring to him and intentionally slandering his "good name". Etc, etc. Oh, good times, good times...

When I first moved to Odin, I didn't let anyone know that I was a transfer, because I didn't know if people on Odin would be like TRANSFER TRANSFER TRANSFER! GO BACK TO FAIRY! Before they even knew me. So I made friends after a few months I told some people, word got out, a few people tried to make drama about it, but oh well. Nobody even really thinks about that kinda thing anymore, it just seemed to be a bigger issue way back when.

Synnre is one of them I suppose. If you are on Odin, you can kinda think of Toth and Thunderblaze as the Synnre of Fairy. As far as Hex... hmm I'm not sure if Fairy has a "Hex equivalent". I'd have to think about it. Hex is very... unique.

There are friends of mine from Fairy that are also here on Odin. I think the closest is Dalzy. We duoed our beastmasters to 75 together . Littlemountain is another. They mostly left because of the way Fairy (one of the last servers added and largely an NA population) had a big problem with third party poshacking, fleehacking, etc and mistreated many of the JP players.

Another thread was just suggesting that we don't know what augment means and we shouldn't be so quick to class Liberator and Glansfaust as the next Claustrum.

To completely ignore the bullshit here and just point directly at this statement regarding in-game mechanics:

The thing that makes these weapons powerful will be their damage coupled with the delay and "occasionally attacks twice" effect. It doesn't matter WHAT other stats are on them, by definition they're already the best weapons for their jobs just based on those three factors alone. So, ignoring your reputation entirely, this thread's purpose as you defined it (to give people hope that Liberator and Glanzfaust are good) is completely worthless, as it should be common knowledge to anyone who knows about these jobs that they are already amazing without any additional effects. This is moreso true with Liberator than Glanzfaust, as with Glanzfaust your weaponskill is much weaker than Asuran Fists (although I'm fairly sure the fact that you'll be spamming WSes half again as fast should make up for it in DoT).

Also, Poof - don't you feel really silly posting with that title? I would.

*EDIT* Also, you left out the Phoenix portion of your life history, and the portion about where your Phoenix character (Ereshkigal) was found on the FFXI-App list. Not that anyone here will really care about that, but it's funny that you talk about Fairy's "hackers and cheaters" when you yourself paid for a third-party application to do the same thing.

A little. I'm trying to get it changed to "Wincest Survivor". Because, seriously, WTF is Incest? Everyone knows incest is wincest.

I've had a couple friends of mine completely drop any ambitions they may have had for the MNK and DRK weapons. My DRK friend (who also has WAR), has decided to work towards the Great Axe instead of the Scythe. Even though he was really interested in the Scythe at first, he thinks the WAR weapon will be so much better and worth the effort.

Yeah, these will be great weapons, but some people seem to be thinking that some of them are just not worth the effort at all, similar to "wasting currency" on a Claustrum.

I'm suggesting people wait til fanfest, because I think the term "Augments" is going to prove that these weapons have great potential.

Also, you are saying these weapons have "good damage" and an aftermath effect of "occasionally attacks twice" so that makes them great weapons anyway. Well, you need to use the new weaponskill to get that effect, and another part of the argument for monks and dark knights is that they aren't really impressed with the idea of using that new weaponskill at all.

Conqueror might be better than Liberator but that doesn't mean that Liberator won't be the best scythe in the game.

If I were to upgrade something aside from Burtgang, I'd do Conqueror too, even though I have DRK and DRG leveled.

As for your last bit, yeah, I understand that the MNK WS sucks, so it takes a little glory from Glanzfaust, but I still feel that it'll be worth getting. As for Insurgency, well, it's a VERY strong WS. Only slightly weaker than Guillotine, so the heavily increased DoT will destroy any other scythe. Plus, it skillchains well. A lot of people on BG are the leaders of their own groups. If any leaders were getting bogged down for help or advice by friends, I was trying to offer them the same solution I created for myself. (I'm assuming you are referring to my Nyzul Guide) Nothing in my post suggested experienced, veteran players and nyzul groups should take my guide as a great truth and the only way to be successful.

I'm just trying to nudge newer groups in the right direction and give them ideas on how they can communicate quickly with each other.

Why do Temple Cyclas and Melee Gloves still say "Enhances Chakra effect" when, by the rule, they "augment" it?

A little late, but here's a reply:

Chakra has always restored HP and removed two status effects: Poison and Blind.
The two pieces of gear "Enhance" Chakra by increasing the amount of HP that is healed, and what kinds of status effects can be removed. Nothing is "newly added" to Chakra in that sort of respect.

I think the point is more that like.. Enhances Third Eye was on those legs before Seigan was added, so whether or not it does anything additionally regarding counters or chances to anticipate is kinda... meh. A lot of gear honestly should be upgraded to reflect new abilities given that aren't merited, or some that are, but who knows if they'd bother to update in that manner. Ever.

Errm, I never try to bring PUP to an endgame event. Just BLM and now SCH. I've joked about it. I never seriously suggested it. It's hard to seriously suggest anything regarding PUP ;/

Did you just imply that everyone on Odin is nice to me because we all have AIDS? Wut? I'm surprised BG even takes Fairy seriously.
