If I were duoing something with someone and a ls was camping right on top of me waiting for me to fuck up, I would definitely expect them to claim instead of letting me recover. However there is this thing called communication and goodwill that people sometimes have, even on the internet. It's not too hard to send a tell to the leader of the ls and say something like "hey, we're duoing this, would you mind waiting for us both to die before you claim? thanks"

Idk I don't think it's very hard, but people just expect others to steal shit from them and therefore don't even bother, which is sad...

It's ok to kill him, but you should have given them the drops. It really is like stealing someone's hard work or something. BLM and RDM duo'd? Yeah that probably took way longer than it should have to kill. Being a complete dick about it 'omglol shouldn't have died' will only make you be disliked by most LSs rather than just that one.

Dont really see why one of the duoers should need to find time to tell the ls they are duoing, it should be pretty obvious, stealing it when one dies and the other could have still killed is just lame, and fail on stealers part, not the duoers.

So last night a few people in my ls are camping Despot to get some more gems, a red mage and black mage duo claimed it, well the black mage got owned, it went unclaimed and one of our guys got it with bind, it died right after because they failed at 1%.

Now they got pissed off and called a GM, pretty funny stuff, only edited out ls mates names, these guys not edited are the duo and they camp it everyday, its the 2 or 3rd time this same duo has failed with him and has given us a few free kills.
Edit: The fail was when bind killed it.

So to the final thing ill say about this, they did nothing wrong, and it was only 3 people from the LS not our 40+ members, they lost claim, gm dismissed it, we are tired of paying these people 700k+ for a gem everytime we want to do byakko.

If they cant duo it then they shouldnt even be up there trying, this is the 3rd time they have wiped/lost claim to the same mob when we have been up there, these people are just as bad as RMT's trying to profit off shit that shouldnt be sold in the first place.

Clearly they can duo it as it went yellow at such low% and one still lived, GM is right in the sense that it went yellow so in the rules its not stealing, but its times like that, that you would hope players would have some decency and respect for others, not act like kids in a playground fighting over sweets.

I actually had Despot ganked from me in a very similar matter by a linkshell on my server who pretty much monopolized Despot every night. Despot had 1% left, killed one of my black mages (we had 3 people total) and they grabbed it right out from under me. But guess what, I wasn't farming it to sell, I actually was farming Byakko pops with a small group of friends so that we could all get Byakko pants without having to start a huge sky group when all we wanted was the pants. That group pulled the same lame crap excuses that you did, "It was yellow~ Free range, who cares if you put in the work to kill the mob in the first place."

But guess what, those people just wasted around 3-4 hours of my life when they already claim 3 despot to my one just due to having more people to kill statues faster. Also, despite the fact that I did the work to pop the mob for 2+ hours and then put in the time and effort to work it's hp down to 1% just to have another group jump in and see 100% of the reward for that work, how is that right or fair? I definitely agree that this belongs in the fail thread, but not because they failed, but rather how much fail you and your friends are.

I agree w/ you fully, I prefer the saying tho "A eye for a eye and the world would be blind". Hell yesterday I felt bad killing vv from 3% which a rdm had been soloing the past few days, I get there and hes dead. Soon after I claimed he rr'd, quite glad nothing droped tho.
