LOL this one is win. Although the guy who needed extra inventory space in Dyna for his WAR AF, and dropped his Hourglass, that too made me laugh.

Here´s the story:
We went to Nyzul Isle100 earlier today. Had 3 members from my linkshell, and 3 random folks.
Setup: DRK SAM WHM RDM WAR THF
So we got floor 96 "Kill All" and first mob we fightin is CC.
Not a big deal because that thing ain´t hard (at least not the numerous times I´ve killed it).
So all of a sudden the WHM (Mizzrym) doesn´t haste/cure/paralyna/blindna/whateverthefuckelse us.
He wasn´t afk either. So we all start saying "Haste/Cure/etc us". Eventually shit hit the flan
and we were close to wipe. We all say "Benediction" "NOW". Nothing happens. So when only me (SAM/NIN) and our THF were standing the WHM (Mizzrym) Benediction´d but we still wiped since we didn´t get any of the above mentioned buffs. After that this conversation happened starting with the WHM (Mizzrym) saying this NM is too hard in Nyzul (dont have that part SS´d sadly). Oh and by the way: My group and me RARELY wipe or timeout in Nyzul, we are all experienced in it and very well geared. Sorry wall of text. Enjoy the conversation:

So we killed day six Adamantoise and decided since no one else had the time of death that we would stick around in the valley and see if we could lure some unsuspecting linkshells into a ruse. Luckily, the linkshell run by the guy who got two characters with two different D-Rings banned decided to come out and camp against us for an imaginary Aspi.

We stayed for about an hour and a half since we didn't really have anything else to do and the whole time we kept running out for imaginary windows. KB window was coming up so we all warped and ended up waiting for a last window KB pop. The funny thing is that after we left, that linkshell stayed in the valley for three more hours waiting for Aspi to pop.

To put the icing on the cake, while we were waiting for KB to pop, one of the members actually sent one of our members a tell saying "thanks for leaving and giving us the free aspi with double a bodies".

I pulled that shit on a small group on Fairy when I used to camp Boroka for gil back during the inflation. We killed it and this other group zoned in and took positions right after it vanished.

lol i can remember doing the exact same thing, we killed a day 6 adamantoise 1st window and left a holding party there while the rest of us went to camp Day 2 Faf while the other LS had an army in the Valley and managed to keep them there for 4 hours before they finally realised that it could be dead

This is why I will never camp ground again. It's not so much the faking and having them wait 4 hours... It's that even if you didn't fake it you could wait 3 hours for ONE of them to spawn, 3 more at the next, 3 more at the next... And then you might not even get claim on any of them. And that could be 30 minutes to 9 hours wasted a day.

I've noticed that this is a recurring trend lately, SAMs that sub WAR or other completely useless subjobs in merit pts. The last one I was in we had a sam/war that just macroed on arhat's gi whenever he pulled hate. Seriously? Is the sam e-peen contest so important that they will make the party that much more difficult to manage so they can make bigger numbers? We lost chain several times because our whm couldn't keep mp high enough to keep Haste on everyone because the sam took so much damage.

So is there some reason that sams feel special in regard to not subbing nin in merits? And no, I don't want to hear "Seigan" as an answer.
