I'm so conflicted about this. I read this thread and get excited for the game, then watch random youtube videos of it and I only seem to see absolutely awful ones. Someone post an example of a good level.![]()

This new video shows some pretty amazing content. The materials that are in this video that aren't in the Beta have me excited!
Life in LittleBigPlanet Episode Two
And this newer video shows some amazing gameplay and artistic creation as well.
LittleBigPlanet PLAYTIME
I imagine for a while it will be kind of like a needle in a haystack finding something that really taps this games creative potential. I will say i am already seeing some amazing ideas in the Beta alone. Once this game has been out for a few months i think we will be getting our minds blown on a regular basis with some levels.
Not to mention, the story levels look fun as hell too from what i have seen and look to be a very very good catalyst for creative inspiration when it comes to creating your own.
The best part, if you like a level you play, you can just copy it directly, dissect it, borrow from it, use it as inspiration, etc. This game has me hooked clearly.
EDIT: 2nd Link Corrected.
Your second link is the same as the first, but thank you. My faith is restored. Hopefully downloading new levels will be fine and not too cluttered with awful ones made in 2 minutes by people with no creativity.
Link fixed!
It is going to be harder at first, i imagine, to sort it all out. I generally tend to try out levels that have a high number of plays or hearts already. Or i just search for keywords like "Brilliant", "Artistic", or "Genius" and tend to get decent user created levels that way. I think that once the game has been released we will see a few forums in a few places dedicated JUST to getting those "killer" levels noticed.
Some awesome looking levels in that one. Much appreciated for the link.
Have any of you guys played that Heist part 1 & 2 that someone made on the internet? It's been on the popular stages for a while, and I thought it was a lot of fun, if not a little simplistic looking. The guy didn't do much background, but the puzzles he put in there were good. I especially liked the part with using the bleach, lol.
I havent had time to mess with it, been busy watching baseball and college football.
I have played Heist 1, it was well thought out for the most part, even though a bit lacking in the eyecandy =P Another decently thought out one is Construction Site, and for SURE Ninja Warrior lol
More than half done with my level (and just under half filled up on the Creation Thermometer) so I will post here when it is done if anyone wants to see it. Again, keep in mind it is basically made for my daughter... who is in kindergarten. So a LOT of pretty, a decent amount of basic platforming, and not many brain benders. =P When i have the full game, i hope to get much more hardcore.
Dick butt lol..
Wasn't sure where to post this, but here'll do.

The Hollow Bastion level is great.
holy shit rofl
lmao wtf.
Nice, Kiarax, that is now being stored away for my next level design. =P
lmao.
FYI, some of the harder to get items (and a bit unknown due to you showing 100% without having them)
From this Walkthrough at lbpcentral.com
And this may be obvious, but after doing the above, i messed around with the 5-6 other templates, and realized that all of them have 2-5 materials that don't seem to be normally useable in the demo (and there is a rad Skull and a Candle, that you can tweak color and brightness of, in one of the Templates). All i did was copy a section of the level that uses the material, paste it into a big gian square then cut a perfect square out of it and use Capture Object to give me the material.Acing Level 1
This is a problem most people go through. You definitely got 100% at level 1, but just can't seem to Ace it.
At the beginning of the level, there's a Sticker switch for a shoe, use that and it releases a race. You usually die at the part where the bridge breaks right? Well, during that race, there will be a bird that you can hang from.
The Prizes are: Pirate Hook; Pirate Eye Patch.
More Costumes?
There are a few more hidden items for your character customization.
To start off, go to "My Moon" and select a blank level, go to create and select one of templates. Put down a scoreboard right beside the entrance, then change to play mode and claim your "well" deserved prizes.
The templates that have the prizes are:
Metropolis:
Level Completion Prizes: Black Boots; Trainers (Both are shoes)
Canyon:
Level Completion Prizes: Red Flowers pattern (Material Character Customization); Fringed Dress.
Ace Level (No lives lost): Cowboy Boots; Leather Gloves.
May add some variety to your Beta levels at least =)
If anyone feels like checking out my first Published level (prolly still has a few kinks) it is called "GP Forever Tree"
The little one named it... it is extremely short i think, but as a first effort i am pretty happy with it aesthetically. Let me know what you think!
Gonna be sad to lose it in a week =(
