    Set Bonuses

    I can't seem to find any generalized infomation on set bonuses anywhere. I was searching the forums and found several threads on individual (only like 2 or 3) set bonus sets, and I was thinking it'd be good to have a thread to post all this info on, so it could be later added to the wiki's.

    As far as I know, Allied Notes set do not require the full set to be worn for the effect to kick in... But the set comes in fractions depending on how many pieces you have on at the time.


    The Cobra Coat Set seems to be M.ACC+1~2 per piece, after the 1st.

    The Iron Ram Hauby Set is Elemental Resistances +5 per piece, after the 1st.



    Other than that, I do not know. I always thought Assault gear requires the full set to kick in. But recently, there seems to be confusion over the ToAU set bonuses.


    Any information you have to contribute is greatly appreciated!

    (On a personal note, I'm curious about the Denali set myself)

    ToAU set need all 5 part, WoTG increment for every pieces after the 2nd. Both definition you posted are correct

    By both, I meant Iron Ram and Denali. I have no fucking clue for Caster set.

    Well, after casting MP Drainkiss several hundred times with all 3 of my Cobra pieces on and off (as well as 2 pieces), I've kind of had a feel for what, and I can tell you 3 pieces give a clear Magic Acc bonus (I would wager +10), and 2 gives a noticable bonus as well, though not as large of one as 3 together give (I would wager +5). But yeah... I have no actual evidence. XD

    You mean for every piece past the first?

    What kind of inherent Counter# would a 75 MNK have? Because, the alleged Counter +15 from 4 pieces of Cobra Unit gear is a complete and utter joke in terms of proc rate.

    I'm not sure, but is there any cap to it? If the bonus is applied after the job trait and counterstance, it could bring it to something pretty high, close to 100%.

    Probably cap at 50% tho...

    Assuming it's 15-20%...which is kinda high for a set bonus.

    Pretty sure I read somewhere that the counter+ rate is +1 per piece 2-5, giving +4 in total.

    I would agree with that. I've had cobra legs and feet on for TPing and I've tanked and soloed plenty, and I've seen maybe 2 counters in 2 months without Counter trait set.

    The cobra cap + hands give +1 counter. I've send them down to trash as soon as i figure the set bonus out.

    I have all 4 and I see it activate once like every 4 fights.. /shurg

    +5 MACC per piece (beyond the first) seems a bit high, tho I hope it's true.

    Erm why? thinking from a RDM POV Morri hands, goliard feet, Nashira legs, few head pieces inc even wise cap, and AF body, the set of +20 Magic Accuracy would fall short of this set.

    YES - Please second opinion on the Cobra Mage set, +5 MAcc on every piece seems really great... maybe too great to be true... o.o;;

    idk, it isn't like SE to actually give us good, and attainable gear. Just doesn't add up... Good+Attainable is like dividing by zero or something. Doesn't reflect SE's track record... I don't believe it.

    The Iron Ram set is obtainable and very good PLD gear. There are several pieces that are better, but it's good. Same goes for the mage Cobra set, if you ask me. /shrug
