Im pretty sure thats who he's talkin about, fist of the north star is one of my favorite animes.
Dog meat comes back.. eventually.
I sent him out once to go find some "stims"... he disappeared for like 5+ game days then came back out of nowhere.
Also... about the cannibalism thing... you can't even kill some "Brotherhood of steel" npc's inside the building... they just go "unconscious" ;/
I've tried everything from... Ripper, Flame thrower, gatling laser, Fat man nukes and like 4-6 of the "paladin" type people, and lion just won't die ... ;/
Kind of funny soon as you go to sneak mode they all stand right back up ;;
Kind of funny the helper "paladin" you get helps you kill other brotherhood of steel people >.>
k edit, after sending dogmeat out to "get a weapon" and about 2-3 days later I got a message he died >.>
I guessed he went to go try killing someone for a weapon haha
Sweet America, this is your president John Henry Eden.

Hmmm I cant find the Fallout 3 thread even with search but anyways, I just got this game from Toysrus and they claim they dont sell GOTY editions so I have this old $20 PSN card and i was wondering what 2 expansions should I get?
Which have the better items/story elements and pros and cons of each? Thanks guys and sorry I made a new thread.
EDIT:Thanks whoever merged that.
Shojin would be the best one to ask.
Broken Steel for sure if you want to continue the main story line (this includes being able to actually play after you've completed the game) and also raises the level cap to 30, and introduces new perks and enemies.
After that it would probably be a toss up between Point Lookout and The Pitt, I enjoyed Point Lookout more content wise. I have yet to play Operation Anchorage as I was told it was very short and didn't add much. Mothership Zeta is you exploring an Alien spaceship, but if you can only get 2, I wouldn't recommend this one either. Broken Steel + Lookout/Pitt.
Sweet thanks I am gonna get them all I just needed to know the best bang for my buck right now. So it looks like Broken Steel and Point Lookout for now thanks Shojin.
I haven't played in a while, but if you are downloading them rather than playing off the goty version then tread very carefully. Point Lookout for the most part destroyed my save file, after first entering the area the game started to crash every 20 minutes, even after leaving and returning to the capital wasteland. Broken Steel also had a host of problems but I never experienced them first hand so I can't comment on that, but this was back when they were first released on the PS3 and they probably patched it.
Get Broken Steel and Point Lookout
This game is really testing my patience with it locking up every other hour on my PS3.
I'm at 42 hours gameplay, basically did everything but unmarked quests, and had at least 18 crashes so far. I hope it doesn't get worse now that I'm into DLC territory.
Anyone got a recommended order of doing these puppies in, or shall I just go with the flow? (which will probably be Broken Steel first since I just beat the game)
[EDIT] Doing Guns of Anchorage now, am surprised how different the games feels in the new location. So glad I got maxed out small guns for this.
[EDIT2] Nice, got my platinum trophy mid-Anchorage (I needed my 300 human kills. Got a good 100 commies in during this pack >.> ). I have to say though, that Anchorage is the buggiest, most unstable piece of shit I've ever had to endure on my PS3. Loads of performance problems (right down to below 1fps), general freezes for upwards of 15 seconds, and so far I've had 4 lock-ups in this supposedly 3hr long DLC. I'm hoping the other 4 packs are nowhere remotely near as bad, as I want some of the gear from Pitt/Lookout.
Alrighty, just finished Anchorage, and I have to say I was disappointed. The non-stop killing just doesn't fit well with the gameplay imo, particularly when manual aiming is a complete bitch thanks to the shaky framerate. Glad I didn't pay $10 for this, would have been ticked especially with the aforementioned stability problems.
Didn't feel this deserved a new post as its not a sequel, but anyone else looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas?
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas
Fallout: New Vegas is an upcoming role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. While New Vegas is not a direct sequel, it will use the same engine and be in the same style as Fallout 3, and is being developed by some of the people who worked on previous Fallout games at Black Isle Studios. It will be set in and around post-apocalyptic Las Vegas. It has a projected release date of Fall 2010 and will be available on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Already been a new thread. Tis right under this.
for starters, if there is a thread already then move this there, as i could not find it in the past 5 pages
started to play again today, last time i played it i think was like 6 months ago lol. but i figured its time to beat the few games i have left, so i can buy a couple more in the next month or so.
i'm level 4 atm otw to the museum of technology, out of ammo, and hardly no health, and i have no stimpaks
lost somewhere in the subway, think i just got to museum station, and i'm having a horrible time
any tips i can use to advance easier?
start a new game and melee shit lol, don't waist your ammo.
the start is kind of slow, you gotta creep past shit since you can't kill mutants effectively yet. Just got to sneak around and shit. I would suggest fast traveling back to Megaton.
decided to not start over, but instead just run around and level up some
got to big town to attempt to do the exp glitch with pappy, and don't have the option avail for exp so maybe its patched, or i'm not high enough to do it yet
about to level to 6, found dogmeat. at what level can i easily kill the mutants?
my only turnoff for the game is, its huge and everything looks the same when you're outside, so w/o a mini map, i get lost easy lol
The only weapon I use is the Deathclaw Gauntlet, so if you'd like unarmed tips let me know.
My general rule when I play without guns is this:
Lv1-5 (Very Easy), Lv5-10 (Easy), Lv10-15 (Normal), Lv15-20 (Hard), Lv20 (Very Hard)
It works out pretty well and level progression is respectable (considering how difficulty affects exp acquisition). If you ever start a new character, feel free to follow this guide I wrote. After nearly 500hrs of this game, I have an idea on how to be mostly perfect without a ludicrous amount of magazine hunting.

SPECIAL (Initial indicated digit is your chosen value at the beginning of the game, i.e. you'll start with 2 strength, 5 perception, etc. but they will increase from bobbleheads and so forth)
2+1+1 strength (+bobblehead, +ant might)
5+1 perception (+bobblehead)

The only choice I leave up to you through this guide is your Wasteland Survival Guide perk. I typically go with Snide (+3% crit) which is overkill considering the Deathclaw gauntler x5 crit multiplier, but fuck it. Damage resistance and HP are respectable alternatives as well.
