edit: Just to clarify, what I had said was going off of information I had at the time, and just playing the devil's advocate, if you will. I couldn't personally see them doing anything like that, but again, you never know, and stranger stuff has happened. If MM and Sony are saying they're going to patch it though, that's awesome, just wish I had tried harder to get a leaked version in that case.

Either way, the wait won't make much of a difference, it's only a week, and as far as I know, the servers aren't up and running yet, and they won't be until next week. That and I don't think any of the DLC extras go live until next week, so it's essentially taking most of the meat out of the game.

Either way, I think I'll run by Walmart this evening.

Gives you a head start on unlocking all the content from single player and to play about with the new stuff atleast. Thank god Order of Ecclesia and Fable 2 are out/coming out to keep me busy until it gets released here.

Valid point, but truth be told, I grabbed the guide when I was in Gamestop just for shits and giggles (and the fact that it has like a 40+ page design tips section), and the story mode doesn't really look like it'll take more than a day's worth of play to blow through and unlock everything.

edit: By the way, how is OoE? I was a bit put off by some of the more recent DS Castlevania games, but I keep hearing good things about it.

Only just started it, it was dumped not 5 minutes ago. I loved both the DS Castlevania's so far though, so I'm not sure what to say really.

Just read literally every page of the creation section, and the only note I could find at all regarding Sync was "Synchronizes the movement of all of the mechanized, morotized, and winchized objects in your level".

Though I'm pretty sure I attempted to use the sync option during the piston tutorial and it refused to work in that manner. So take it for what you will.

Yeah, just picked up the guide myself. I tried to use it in the Beta as well, and it just seemed a bit wonky. I assumed i was just not using it right. The TIME setting it uses for Sync is what confuses me. If i set one Winch to 5 seconds, i wonder if that means that that particular Tool then takes 5 seconds to sync up to other mechanics once active. Oh well, plenty of fooling around should tell me.

At least i have 300ish pages to read through for a week, though i don't necessarily know if i want to read about the story levels or just play through them first.

According to a buddy that works at Walmart, they got a memo this morning after a couple stores had started selling them. The registers locked out the ability to sell the SKU, and they were told to pull all product from the floor immediately. :<

You know what...I just got to chapter 12 in Dead Space, so this gives me the opportunity to finish that game before I dedicate all of my time to LBP. This is a blessing in disguise.

I'm on chapter 8, difficulty increase is very entertaining. Also filling the time with Soul Calibur IV that i bought at the same time...learning how to use Hilda~

And of course I went to walmart not too many hours ago and of course the dirt-old man was telling me there are no games anywhere else besides the glass -_-"

I called Gamecrazy to ask if they have the pre-order swag (the little bag) and they had no idea what I was talking about. I'll be pissed if I wasted $5 on a pre-order there for nothing.

Patch released for any of you that have an early release copy. So there you go, no reason NOT to buy it if you manage to find it in a store early =) Song is still in the game, but the 'offensive' lyrics have been removed.

Where did you get the info that a patch had already been released? I'm not finding that information on Sony or MM's site. I saw a news article from Sony confirming that they're working on patching it, but with no servers or anything online, how are they distributing it?

edit: Nevermind, just saw the post on The Sixth Axis. Even though it only notes the EU version, I'll assume they got it done globally. If they managed to do it that fast, they should have just patched instead of recalling. And I know, not everyone has the internet, etc, etc, but just ugh.
