Your favorite cocktail?

I always get long islands cause of how often I get shitty bartenders.

I figure, at least if they screw up the long island, it's still got a ton of alcohol in it so I'll be fine.

Other than that, I like margarita's. I'm not a big drinker, so it's hard for me to find something that I actually like. Good thread, gonna give me some Idea's since I'm going clubbing and to a really fancy drink club as well tonight.

Spider Bites for sure. Gets you nice and drunk realllll quick. Tarantula Tequila and your choice of energy drinks, my friends and I use the blue Monsters because it tastes delicious and you don't even get a taste of the tequila. I am not a big fan of hard liquor, but man those are good. xD

I've got a retarded liquor cabinet in my house and for a while I was really in to entertaining and making cocktails. Lately I've been back to basics and just enjoying simple cocktails. I've been all about Captain and Coke, Vanilla Stoli and Coke, Whiskey Sours, and a few other quick ones.

I like to just enjoy a nice scotch on the rocks, occasionally doing a gin and tonic.

Screwdriver in the morning, white russian instead of coffee.. and Long Island just cuz everybody who drinks needs to drink a cocktail that taste like crap but gets you drunk.

Oh man, how could I forget about Canada's national cocktaill, the Ceasar!

Seriously, I love these things. Best cure for a hangover, and I love to drink them before/when I'm flying. Not only does it contain a decent amount of vodka (better with a double) you get some protein, vegetable juices, a good kick of spice, lime and whatever veggie garnish they can come up with - celery being the classic, but green beans or snap peas in the pod also work nicely.

Now, I know that the Caesar isn't well known in the rest of the world, where it may be known as a Bloody Caesar, but I would most definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in Canada.

Ingredients

• 6 oz. Clamato Juice
• 1½ oz. Vodka
• 2 Dashes Hot Sauce
• 2 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
• Celery salt
• Freshly Ground Pepper
• Lime/Lemon wedge
• 1 Crisp Celery Stalk

The only thing I've found I really like is Sangria. The mixed drink kind with the fruit in it. If it tastes like alcohol, I don't like it. But this is fruity enough I can't really taste it. I know, I'm weak.

I'd like to try more, but since my boyfriend doesn't really drink, I have no one to try stuff with.

The only cocktail i drink is vodka tonic, and the vodka has to be high end, belvedere first, then goose, then ketel. Ill do skyy if im already a couple drinks deep.

Any recommendations for someone with a picky palate like me? I don't do any dark liquors, goldshlaugger is the only thing i enjoy in shot form. Not a huge fan of gin and rum unless its mixed well, though the only tequila ive had consitently is patron and its doable.

for shots my new favorite is jager with dr. mcgillicuddy's, i've been calling them (and getting a few local bartenders to recognize the name) Minty Pricks but i don't know if it already existed with a different name or whatever. i think i want to leave work right now and have some.

Although I usually start with Jeagerbombs and alternate between that and Kokanees throughout the night. Caesar(s) are for the morning after personally.


Andarvi, I would suggest you try a good Gin and Tonic somewhere. Get it with Bombay Blue Sapphire or Tanqueray gin; those are my two personal favourites. For G&Ts I would stay away from Tanqueray Ten, as it is more intended for martini's and has a simpler flavour, while the classic Tanqueray London Dry has much more complex herbal notes. I love me a good G&T but some people have, hilariously, described it thusly:
