I'm a moron because I don't like Letterman? Or because I have no sympathy for his QQing? Sure it sucks being stood up. At least he got a phone call first. But to make a whole show about whining over his guest bailing, it's just lame. Kinda like what The Late Show has become in the last decade.

QQ? He had a legitimate complaint, nimrod. McCain was scheduled to go on his show, and then personally called him to say he couldn't come because he had to go save the nation immediately. And, in a turn of total unprofessional behavior, he goes on Katie Couric's show AND then Rachael Ray afterwards during the time he was supposed to be on Letterman.

Letterman's point was that McCain was a lying piece of shit, and it's true. He is. You don't cancel a show with the excuse that you have to be somewhere else to help save the country and then not go (and not only that, go on another show in the same building).

A man in McCain's position calling up Letterman (or anyone, for that matter) and cancelling a show in the name of saving America's economy and trying to act like a patriotic American, and then not going anywhere is the equivalent of sitting down and telling somebody you can't dance because your feet hurt, then going and dancing with somebody else right after.

It's an extreme dick move, and shows how very little class McCain really has. Not to mention the fact that he didn't even make eye contact with Obama once during their debate. He's a jerk.

This isn't even really about Letterman. This is about McCain's polls failing and THEN pissing off yet another celebrity supporter of his. Not to say that celebs cause the votes, but who do you think he gets his money from for his campaign? He got about 12 mil from the Hilton's till he pissed them off, now it's Letterman.


Added to that, all politicians lie, but as a whole the country is sick of the lies, and when a runner gets caught in the middle of one, that just hurts his rating even more.

I don't think Letterman has a quality show anymore, and the fact that he cried for a whole show about McCain ditching him just solidifies that perception.
