This is my biggest problem with them. There are so many normal mobs mixed in, and because they're the same damn model it's difficult to sort them all out. Once you agro a normal enemy you run the very real risk of being killed by the stupid thing after the battle ends, and there's nothing like losing real exp. to make someone never want to go to these battles ever again. Especially since there is no hope of any pixies/medics/players raising you in these remote zones. They really need to just get rid of the surrounding mobs, that's classic SE stupidity.

Does anyone on Odin remember what San d'Oria's policies were last week (stronghold fortification, preemptive strikes, etc) and/or the week prior to the first time they took La Vaule?

Even if people attack it they're going to be too stupid to realize the other areas need to be defended. *coughronfaurecough*

Having all regions this week doesn't matter. It have all regions next week is what is important

On that note on Ragnarok, Bastok is 90%+ in all zones except the fort. So if we going to try to take Beadeaux (S) now is the time to do it.

How long does it actually take to get enough to take the zone?

How can I write a time so that Japanese would understand what time to start?

Conquest ends Saturday night or Sunday night in Japan?

Tally is midnight JST. So work from there and the hours before it.

On Carbuncle we had an attack on La Vaule on Saturday by a JP Teamup of around 30-40 people. They got destroyed somehow lol Other people reported to have it done with 18. But I guess the JPs just had gear and skill all over the bank.

On Sunday the real strike force came. The hour before tally we had a force of 90 people in the area. The orc were whiped out and NPCs happily dancing around the fortification.

On another note something strange is happening. The Beastmen have a VERY STRONG influence in East Ronfaure this week. Their bar is full while Sandoria is at 30%. Maybe this is what SE talked about. The Beastmen are attacking Ronfaure to cut the Supplylines in order to regain control over La Vaule?

They said something about taking over zones that have been in control by one nation really long. It's the same on Baha, I saw a bit of influence in E.Ron by beastmen (we never lost that zone). The good news is, there's always people doing campaign in E.Ron so the likelyhood of us losing it is really low.

Went to one Campaign in Beadeaux [S] this week, was me and two JP tarus; did not go well as expected, but learned a few things.

I would be interested in helping out on Sylph for Bastok if others are interested. Would really like a Balestarius (if this is even confirmed to come from Cracking Shells).

I know this is off topic but do any nations on your server own any area outside of it's "territory"? Ex: Like does Sandy own Gustaberg or does Windy own Ronfaure or anything like that?

    General question directed towards everyone.

Pretty sure that's impossible right now as you'd need troops from other nations actually being dispatched to a zone in another nations control in order to gain influence in that area.

Now that Splitting Heirs has been thoroughly exposed, I'd be interested in seeing what the other two have to offer. Oztroja is relatively straight forward I think. The fort is just right in the middle of the courtyard and the units enter from the only path into the room. I wonder if you could cast on a glob of campaign mobs from the top floor like you can in present day and stall them by making them run far around the area to reach you. I can't try until Oz is open to attack here. But anyways, I'm posting concerning Beadeaux.

Beadeaux is just ass, naturally everything that has any connection to Bastok is inherently terrible. The fort is very far from the entrance, requiring you to pass an Imp, and run through the basement tunnel before exiting straight into the bloated glut of campaign mobs around the fort. Here's a simple map to illustrate the fort, mobs radius, and paths the NPC units run through. The NPC's and mobs ignore ledges and run straight over them while moving.

If you look at it you can see the problem. There is no way to get sign up for tags at the NPC, and get through the mobs in order to get south to the ramp that goes upstairs to help the NPC's out and pull mobs to them. The only way would be to sacrifice yourself and reraise. Otherwise you could just not get tags and wait up top, but either way is a bum deal.

So any ideas how to deal with this zone? All I can think is to make due and attempt to pull as few mobs as possible to the incoming NPC's, ideally before they split up. Beadeaux is up for battles this week, and looks like it probably will stay open next week too so I'm curious if anything is possible.

Actually, during last night's Oz-fest on Phoenix, the JP alliances were clearing everything in the fort room (Lynxes and regular Yags aggro in the fight area). During the times these mobs were cleared, as well as during the times the JP's would just clearcut through Campaign mobs outside of an actual Campaign Battle, both Sandoria and Bastok would gain VERY THIN slivers of influence in Oztroja.

So, it's possible to gain influence, just not efficiently enough to bother with.

yeah, spent a few hours Sunday morning in Beadeaux [S] trying to gain some influence. A lot of the time was spent with 2 ls mates and a JP, without tags grinding through the campaign mobs and Mantelets at the tower.

The one campaign we had tags for, the 2nd legion was obliterated by 2 groups of campaign mobs PLUS the VT quadavs that roam around the tower.

At best we were able to get a sliver of influence that disappeared quickly once we left for linkshell events.

The week before some ppl in my LS worked on crawler's nest for about the same amount of time on a Sunday morning and gained enough influence that we held it/took it by the end of the week.

Will keep trying, Balestarius has been in my sights since the DAT first appeared.

Something interesting to mention, which I'm sure you've noticed, is if a group fights a campaign mob without tags on, the mob will only ever hit 1 person at a time, even with Aoe abilities and spells. It makes for great skillup, and you only ever have to heal one person at a time.
