I always list runs, although at least in the case of QQTH - counting kills might be important (some people only hit half the nm's that other groups do, etc.)

and we don't actually *know* the drop rate is spread out over the QQ's in the zone, we just surmise that it must be; since we don't see 4x the number of macha's coats as we do anything that isn't in bhaflau. (then again, we *have* seen 4x the number of macha's coats as we have seen macha's slops... )

rarest upgrades would be very different, I think. - rarest upgrade is probably either skadi head or marduk hands; simply because neither is worth the price without the rest of the set.

I guess, gives me Sublimation with no HP loss. Not to mention, I got my fingers back! After years of wearing mittens, this is priceless.

Yeah this, Marduk Hands are definitely nice for WHM/SCH, not sure I'd put them in the super rare category, I certainly like having mine.

they're an idle piece.

and they're virtually useless for the other jobs that can wear them.


the only reason they aren't rarer is because they drop off the same nm as two high priority pieces from other sets.

It's hard to argue that Skadi head is more useful than Marduk hands, however, and it's twice as expensive (though I suppose this varies per server). Some time ago, I noticed that for some reason a ton of Bloodwood had hit the AH; I think I got one stack for 400 and one for 440. I feel pretty lucky about that since it leapt back up afterwards. I happily idle in Marduk hands on BRD and WHM, because...well, why wouldn't I? I also use them for Stoneskin.

I don't think popping CC is nearly as bad as RR4. True, it's a bit difficult at first, but weather doesn't screw you over, I can't think of much you could to do instantly destroy your chances of popping it, it doesn't take nearly as long (including time spent "in" RR4), and it's really not bad once you've done it a few times. I feel pretty confident it's easier to reliably pop CC with 5 people than RR4.

Our rarest drop is actually Skadi body, at 1 total. From SSR we have several Usukane heads, 2 Marduk feet, a few Morrigan legs, several Ares legs, 3 Usukane bodies, and um...I think 2-3 Skadi hands, but mine are the only ones completed. I don't have exact stats, but Dekka is almost certainly the winner for biggest number of no-drops for us.

This is exactly how I feel about the entire fiasco that is Salvage.

You give us a limited event in which we have to use Assault Points (extremely poor method of gaining entrance, btw), make it have the shittiest drop rates in the entire game (makes absolutely no sense that some people have been doing this steadily x3 or more a week or more since introduction and STILL have yet to complete a full set), and then make the body pieces cost 8mil gil plus.
It's a good idea, the gear you can gain is great.
But this is fucking bullshit.

Usu - Body (zero), hands (one), head (three), legs (three).
Morrigan - Feet (zero), head (zero), legs (one), hands (four).
Marduk - hands (one), legs (two), head (three), body (five).
Ares - body (zero), head (zero), hands (one), legs (one), feet (two).
Skadi - hands (one), head (one), body (two), legs (two), feet (three).

For us probably the following:

Usukane = Body (0 drops) > Hands (5 drops) > Head (6 drops) > Legs (8 drops) > Feet (11 drops)

Marduk = Feet (3 drops) > Head/Legs (4 drops) > Body/Hands (7 drops)

Skadi = Body (2 drops) > Hands/Head (3 drops) > Feet (4 drops) > Legs (8 drops)

Ares = Legs/Head (1 drop) > Hands (3 drops) > Feet (5 drops) > Body (6 drops)

Morrigan = Feet (2 drops) > Head/Body (3 Drops) > Legs (5 drops) > Hands (9 drops)

It makes us continually cry that the first ever SSR run I did, Ares 35 Legs dropped off GGs and were lost as it died with 10 secs on the clock Only ever seen one pair since then in the approx 18 months we have been running it ;;

And I am sure our Morr Legs drop rate would prolly make people cry >.> Shame we can't make the 25s drop to complete them :<

My new group is 5 weeks old 7 upgrades (Usu feetx3, Morri Handsx2, Marduk legsx1, Morri Bodyx1) and 19 2/3 pieces of gear. Personally im 0/148 ish now on 35 ares legs since being 2/3.

I went 1/1 on Usukane Hara-ate ><

1/32 on Hammerblow, and we are 1/3 on gyroscopic gear. Our SSR drop rate is apparently not nearly as awful as it could be lol.

In arrapago, we've gotten 1 macha's coat, 1/40, and 3 deimos' cuirass, 3/80 (we only had one guy on morrigan so we dont kill the TH's anymore unless we are cruising). Also, 1/5 on the bhoot.

However, the thing that is cockblocking us right now is the Archaic chariot. It refuses to drop the skadi boots, 0/55 on those. In the same time, we've gotten 10 marduk (wtf) and 3 hikazu. I helped members on off day runs last week twice, and we seriously got 4 straight marduk and nothing else. Those two members have been trying to get the skadi boots as their first piece from day one, and they still dont have a piece yet >< most other members have 1 or two. Really becoming sick with seeing marduk drops.

Oh, and zhayolm remnants we got 2 straight marduk bodies off the 5f and havent seen anything else. Granted, we haven't killed them very often, what with completing members first pieces.

I didnt mean to imply that they were crying. What I meant to say was that they are the only two members who havent completed a piece yet, whereas everyone else has, with some members having 2 or even 3 done. In fairness, we are attempting to complete them a piece so the wealth is spread.

Don't worry everyone. When enough people start threatening to quit/stop doing Salvage over shitty droprates, SE will patch it so that the drop rate is much higher, like they always do. Then everyone and his dog will be running around with Morrigan and Askar and it will no longer be awesome and rare.

I give it ehh, a year at least, maybe a little less.
