Anyone have a clue which song they played during the 2nd WotG trailer? I have yet to hear that during any of the WotG content...

One of the three trailers used that theme. But there were two unique songs from two different trailers that are not in the game and not on the soundtrack.

It's really fucked up too, cuz I was basically sold on the expansion cuz of that music. -_-

It's almost guarenteed it'll be in at some point. They're probably saving it for something epic so it doesn't go the way of the CoP battlefield music (ie. The music you hear 24/7 in every fucking limbus/enm/whatever).

Seeing all the wotg CSes and story being awesome I'm sure that music will accompany an even more awesome CS / fight!


I find it interesting that over the years you often were able to hear music before the actual area was released. So you made up thoughts and fantasies how it would be. For example Ru Humet Music and Salvage Music. I always imagined "Garden of Ru´humet" being some hugh Garden similar to Sky haha

Speaking of the battlefields, I really like how they keep mixing it up with which music they use in boss fights. I've heard four different tunes so far during WotG boss fights. It doesn't seem like there's a specific "this is the boss fight song" for this expansion.

I'll admit, I liked it too. After around the millionth playthrough I didn't like it as much and now it's just annoying.

I predict that it will show up in boss battles later on, especially once the storyline with Shadowhand and the crew are fleshed out. Notice that the trailers were focused a lot on Castle Z? Once they upon those new areas, I think we'll hear it. And I 100% agree, the music was really incredible by FFXI standards. I liked that they had a choral background.
