    PoL Password Restore Question

Long story short, i reset my POL password earlier because i found some viruses on my pc, well i logged in on my PS2 and changed it while i was reformatting my pc.

Now i wrote down the password the EXACT way i typed it, well come to find out the password dosent work for some reason, i think i mistyped something, anyway i tried that password about 50 different ways and still says its no good.

Now my question is, how difficult is it to have a password reset when calling SE to have it done, also what information do i need when i call them besides my POL ID?

The account has been Frozen just in case it was hacked, i know im probably being a little bit paranoid but why take the change right?

Thanks in advance for the info.

I had the same thing happen recently... meh

You're going to need your POL codes, the name/birthday on the account, the first and last four digits of your most recent / current credit card, your POL ID (of course...)... um.. don't think I'm missing anything... Just have any payment information, as well as your POL info (ID and codes, etc) handy, and they can reset it.

Yep. You can even reset it on the web based customer service. They'll ask for the same info. I had to do it when my computer crashed, lol.

The most important thing is your POL codes. (Some people toss these out for some reason.) As stated on your pol codes page, discarding them can limit your access to customer service. This is one of those issues. They won't fix your password without your playonline registration codes. They won't even talk to you. You are dead to them. Personally, I have mine, but I've heard of people who didn't have theirs having to start all over. If there was a policy change on this, it's rather recent and I'll be upset. The fact my POL codes are needed to reset my password is one thing that keeps me feeling safe

Cool, i kept my book from 2003 lol, know the ID by heart, so thats good to know, yeah i'll get it reset when they open, btw the software keyboard blows, i think thats how i mistyped it in the first place.

Anyone tried the flash drive login thing SE added a while ago? if so how do i go about doing that.

Do you need POL codes 100% to request a password rest? Mine have been locked in storage in a different country since I finished Uni and I've got not access to them.

Thinking of returning to game but no chance I'm starting over.

Yes thats the very first thing they asked for, along with name on the account, first and last 4 of credit card, address and pol id, it took them a whole 5 minutes to reset the password once i verified the info.
