    As far as duoing goes I have no clue how well a blu and rdm would work just because of the hate thing thats why I said like two blues because they could very easily volley it back and forth with regurgitation being used for the rare occasion the cannonball doesnt take hate off the other blu.

    ok, looked over it again, you're right they did.

    and i can't believe SE didn't do something like what they did when you delete mob files, for animations o.o just delete the file, and it's gone.

    Can you remove those animations by lowering your game settings somehow?

    What the RDM does that takes the video is extremely useful in solos. Removing those animations cuts the time in which you cannot move after casting to almost nothing, allowing you to kite much more fluidly. It's pretty much like automatically getting the 'blink casting' effect every time (it's not as good as the blink casting effect because he still stops when he casts, but the stop time is significantly reduced).

    Cant you just turn off all those animations in the config?

    theres an option in the config, but it doesn't do anything, or if it does, you still get rooted to the ground.

    well, the way i'm doing it now, it's just as effective as blinking. however there is no indication that you finished casting, except in the log (though it shows up in the log much faster), which is slightly annoying, but only because i'm so used to using either the animation, or when i blink to tell when to start running.

    ugh, sometimes those little bars around you while casting don't go away when you finish, which although isn't that big a deal, when it does that, the recast timer isn't set, and it stays at 0, which is a pretty big deal.

    currently only testing with self target spells, not offensive ones. i'll see if those act differently later.

    replacing the animation with rom/13/56.dat works well perfectly to not get rooted to the ground, though you get hit in the head with a yellow block (whether thats good or bad) lol.

    anyone know if there's any blank animations lying around? or know how to make one i guess?

    Eh. Geno, me, and 2 others 4manned it a few times. Our best clear time was 16min, I believe. We even did 3 orbs while one of the larger LSs on the server were there doing runs. We beat them out on 2/3 of the runs. The last of which, we exited about 3min before their half-wiped alliance, compared to our 0 deaths.

    I could see 2 RDMs duoing this with a few meds and amazing nuking gear. I did, however, lol at the thought of lowmanning this with a RNG. xD

    So RDM RDM BRD COR could do this without meds you think? Or would it be too hard for cor to buff without binding people?

    Starr, probably not enough DD output with that, at least until your members get used to nuking while the behemoth is unbound, ungravitied and chasing them. Try 4rdm first, its more of a "fuck gravity, nuke balls" strategy that involves not getting hit with meteor.

    I remember talking to a guy who would bot NM's like Mee deggi, he told me he swapped out the animation for Flee so there was on delay, probably the same thing

    yeah, you can simply delete the animation for the spell/ability to do that, though it causes some side effects, such as the /recast not being set, and staying at 0.

    i made a .dat file with no animation (it still has a sound from the .dat i used, which i can't figure out how to change/remove) that does it, without those annoying side effects. you can find it on my lj i linked above.

    ...................Just look for effects marked as "Glow", they make nice replacements for all the shit that I dont want rooting me.






    Also way before dat mods and replacements existed people just did an unequip/equip on a visible gearslot before a JA or animation they wanted to skip.
