The term "rape kit" actually refers to what a woman gets in the emergency room after she's been raped - swabs and samples and photos of evidence and such.

In this article, the guy actually had a "raep kit" - big difference.

"Hero" is not applicable in this situation. We weren't there, but most likely McNally knew he was killing him, and continued the choke hold even after the man stopped struggling.
