I put it on Hard and I think ive made a mistake lol.
How the fuck are you supposed to make it through this shit with so little ammo? I understand accuracy is the key but god damn, on hard there is no room for error lol. This game is gonna keep me at it for a long ass time, I can tell ._.
Stasis helps quite a bit. Also, you can aim his swings to dismember them just like you would with the gun. I'm playing though normal with only the plasma cutter XD. Haven't fired a single round out of any of the other guns I have yet, although I have them on hand. Also, Telekinesis with fan blades / sharp / long objects helps alot, and there is alot of explosive stuff on board as well.
Spoiler: show
but this game is awesome, especially the node weapon upgrade system + the store being everywhere and being able to sell extra ammo and whatnot. the schematics thing is a pain in the ass but its logical kinda. 10/10 for this game theres rarely a game that can keep my attention for more than 2 hours like this one. looking forward to playing back through it many times in the future too haha
Holy fuck chapter 5 is hard.
Spoiler: show
Chances are Toys R Us won't get dead space in time for the sale (it's been 3 weeks and they still dont have silent hill, and probably won't get it), I've been calling around to my local stores with no luck. That was my original plan as well, but I ending up getting Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, and Force Unleashed for $106 total (with tax, Inf. Und. is 40 bucks now).
Dead Space is fkn amazing so far, this game is exactly what I was looking for. What game would you say Golden Axe is most similar to, Kyo? I might pick it up when the price starts to drop.
I'm loving Dead Space, as well. If you're on the fence, jump off of it and buy it now. The only problem is that I don't think I can ever sleep with the lights off again.
Also just wanted to add that this is definitely one of the most immersive games I've played. Most other games, it feels like playing a game, but there's something about this one that just sets it apart. Probably because it's scary as hell and there is no HUD, but it really draws you in.
It's alot like conan with beasts, the beast mechanic isnt very fun, one of their main functions is to break through barriers and they take damage when they do so..
Just came back from Toys R Us with my free copy of Dead Space. Out of the two stores in my area only one of them had it. Cleverly I have also planted the seed that the other two games are being given as gifts and I obtained a gift receipt for use at a later time of around Oct. 21 and Oct 28.
I would think Dead Space would be nice to have if you're grinding away at FFXI or WoW; add some spice and scare to the daily MMO duties. Fable II does look amazing, but I remember not touching FFXI for over a week when Fable came out I was so sucked in.
off-topic, but not FF or WoW, its WAR ;p
I'll pick up Dead Space tonight, horror games aren't that long and if its scaryy ill enjoy playing it at night
Well, it really is worth a buy, its a great game and has quite a bit of replay value, in their own right, LBP and Fable 2 are both going to be AAA titles. RIght now CC has a deal on dead space as well, $10 gift card with purhase, could use it to get 10 bucks off fable 2, save you some cash.
Some of the puzzles are getting difficult. Your navline wont lead you to the answers anymore for the puzzles past chapter 5. Also, the ammo conservation is getting crazy stupid, they have plenty of enemies that you're going to need to melee / kinesis down.
