iirc, you can pick up the rocks using your stasis ability thingy and fling them back.

Fat necromorphs you just aim for the arms, nowhere else, otherwise they'll die with the babies coming out. Plasma Cutter is your friend.

I found a youtube vid on it. It never shot the rocks at him and he took care of the fattys before they even opened up. I'll try it again tomorrow.

And yeah, only thing I bother with is plasma cutter, except for my the play through which I got my max upgrade trophy

didn't upgrade it. Not sure if I have enough money to upgrade it enough either.
I'll probably get it tomorrow, I just got a little tired of playing cause I went from mission 9 till the end in 1 sitting.

Wow, first try, I beat the Hive Mind just like it was on easy mode. It didn't spawn any fattys or shoot any rocks. Huzzah platinum trophy

Just kept shooting at it every chance I got. Only time I wasnt, was when he'd slam down his tentacle 4times. Though that seems kinda simple, so I'm thinking maybe it glitched or something.
