A troubled Florida teenager who allegedly bragged to his friends about nearly decapitating a neighbor appeared in court today as police investigated whether he might have killed before.
16-year-old admits to police that he stabbed a woman to death during a robbery.

Alan Michael Tanguay, whose first arrest came at age 12, has been charged with the murder of 58-year-old Patricia Kaliszeski, a woman known in her neighborhood for taking walks with her beloved birds on her shoulder.

The 5-foot-7-inch, 145-pound 16-year-old was taken into custody before dawn Monday after his friends confided in their parents that Tanguay allegedly recounted the killing in great detail, also gloating that he had stolen $6 from her and bought beer.

"It was bothering them so much they just couldn't keep it in. They told their parents, and they called us," Palm Bay Police Detective Ernest Diebel told ABCNews.com.

Police, he said, had released few details about the murder, yet Tanguay's friends "knew it all," he said, including that he had been wearing Vans sneakers, which left bloody imprints in the house.

Let's just start executing everyone who breaks the laws. That is what Arch wants it seems. In fact, even better, cancel all the laws and let people decide who deserves to die or not themselves. Who needs rules anyway.

The problem is determining intent Kuya. Often you don't know that an intruder wants to kill you until, well, you're dead. Being a "child" doesn't mean you aren't willing and able to kill.

It looks like a gun in her hand, and the aggressiveness to use it, would've probably been the only thing that could've prevented this tragedy. Do you disagree?

If someone has broken into your home, and you know for certain they are not supposed to be there (not a family member, friend, whatever), how long do you spend attempting to determine their intent before you do what it takes to stop whatever it is they are there to do? It takes about one second to pull a gun out of a pocket, aim it and fire.

I don't want to execute all criminals. I just side with the victims of criminal acts who try to defend themselves and their property. Once you cross the line into criminal activity, those you perpetrate your crimes against have the right to defend themselves.

If someone breaks into your house, you often don't have time to figure out why they are doing so. You -must- act like your life is on the line.

I didn't say you are anti-gun - I don't know what your stance is on guns.

The intent after the fact is obvious. At the time, at the moment that this woman is in her home and the door is forced open and there is a sub-150 lb. teenager coming in, how is she supposed to determine his intent? Does she wait until he pulls out a knife? Does she wait until she approaches him? Or if she has a gun, does she aim and fire when he comes through that door?

How long does she wait? Maybe he just wants to raid her candy cupboard. Maybe he wants to decapitate her.

In the article it said he told his friends his rule when robbing a house is if their is someone home he kills them. His intent was their he was willing to murder before he even entered the house. You could tell he was a fucking psychopath after he said he slit her throat to stop her suffering. It sounded like he enjoyed killing a poor defenseless woman. I hope he goes to jail and is raped non stop everyday for the rest of his life.
