Those work in Salvage? How about Assault? :D Thought it was only active while in Mamook, Arrapago Reef, or Halvung. Very cool if it's more than those three zones.

The stat bonuses are limited to the beastman related zones, but you can use them as a throwing item in any zone.

Yeah, their value isn't in the bonus, but in the fact that they're equippable by all jobs and don't use up ammo.

They're incredibly awesome for things like 3F/4F bhaflau since you can use your most skilled puller regardless of job, and BRD pulling in merits since they have more range than elegy and don't cause the colibri to do the annoying pause when it "learns" a spell.
This. I pulled the 4F Bhaflau gears on WHM for our group most of the time with my Lamiabane once it transpired that everyone else was inept.

Lots of people know that when you are viewing your inventory, you can push left or right to scroll up/down whole pages at a time (very fast way to scroll).

When you are in your mog house and viewing your inventory side-by-side with your safe/locker/storage, pushing left or right simply moves your cursor between the two different lists, right?
Hold CTRL while pushing left or right to rapidly scroll through the lists of items!

Similarly, when viewing your lists of quests or missions in a particular area (such as "Bastok Quests"), just pushing left or right will take you to another list. Holding CTRL and pushing left or right will scroll up/down through the quests pages at a time.

Tip for the PC users - you NEVER need the mouse. Anything that can be done with the mouse can be done with the keyboard. If you aren't sure how, just ask. The keyboard is faster 99% of the time.

There are only two times I might use the mouse:
    1. Making a big trade with someone, I may use the mouse to be extra careful that I won't accidentally hit "OK" too soon.
    2. Scrolling around the region map via keyboard is slow for whatever reason. Is there a key I can hold down to scroll faster?

If you are using the mouse for anything else, you are slowing yourself down. Learn the keyboard shortcuts!

Along the same note, you can use left and right arrows to jump "pages" in inventory, mog safe/locker, and storage
Semi-bump here. But I can't use the left/right D-Pad to scroll quickly up and down my mog locker/mog safe, etc. Also I can't use Page up or Page down like you mentioned. I've tried both compact and full keyboard setups.

    Anyone know why?

    idk if its been said.

but you can move when you're bound lol.

just hold the directional key and swap gear really fast while holding. youll be moving little by little. I used to have to do that whe i was soloing aura statues and i needed to rest after with no tonko. (i was a forgetful bastard)

idk if they fixed it, but you can also strafe at normal speed when your gravitied. so you can wiggle your way to the mob.

For moving quickly through your mog locker/safe you need to hold down either the SHIFT key or the CTRL key. I can't remember exactly which it is, but holding it down enables you to quickly scroll through your locker/safe.

It was mentioned waaaaaay back, but using Toggle macros can save you alot of space in your macro pallette.

    example:
    input /equip hands "Usukane Gote"
    input /equip legs "Byakko's haidate"
    input /equip waist "Potent belt"
    input /equip body "Haubergeon +1"
    input /equip head "Optical hat"
    input /equip ring1 "Sniper's ring"
    input /equip neck "Peacock charm"
    input /equip ammo "Tiphia sting"
    input /equip waist "Swift Belt"
    input /equip head "Walahra Turban"
    input /equip hands "Dusk Gloves"
    input /equip feet "Usukane Sune-Ate"
    input /equip back "Forager's Mantle"
    input /echo >>>> ACC : ON <<<<
My standard SAM TP macro has overlapping head/hands/waist slots. One is more Accuracy based, one towards Haste.

If I swap from WS equipment to this, the game runs the script instantaniously but equips them all in order, so I end up with the haste pieces on.
Sometimes, I'd rather have +30 more accuracy (not that often anymore, with merits etc), so I hit the macro again....and the accuracy pieces equip in place of the haste. This saves alot of macro space, and I dont need a seperate macro for full blown accuracy.

however, you need to wait for your charactor to appear again before you can use it a 2nd time, as the haste equips need to load.

As a rule, using the "toggle" set (in this case, more accuracy) in high haste situations/low delay situations isnt good, as you will more than likely swing once while the 2nd set is loading.

I found this trick extremely useful when I was starting sky and wasnt merited much or as tricked out. I also rarely had haste or anything, so the extra accuracy really helped.

Another useful thing that I've found is stopping the chat log from disappearing completely. I always have 3 lines remain visible. (Config > Windows > Minumum Lines Displayed)
This means you dont have to hit "F" (compact keyboard) every time you coem back from afk to check what has happened recently, and is especially useful if you are semi-AFK while LFP, you can check for invites while passing the computer screen, without touching the keyboard (doesnt work with a noisy Linkshell, lol).

Finally, If playing fullscreen with windower (like I do), resize Firefox so you can still see the bottom of your chat log. This means you can browse to you heart's content, but you can keep half an eye on what is happening ingame.

I use it without looking anymore, but its either SHIFT or CTRL + LEFT/RIGHT arrows.

Hold L1 (or R1) when pushing left and right on the D-Pad. This will page through your inventory.

As I posted on page 9, you hold CTRL while pushing left or right to scroll through certain lists quickly.

This works situations where you have two inventory boxes side-to-side, or when looking at your lists of quests. Pushing left or right without CTRL in those situations performs other functions, so you have to hold CTRL to do rapid scrolling.

Found this one out today >.>

    Page Up = Zoom in
    Page Down = Zoom out

To go back to the default viewing range (50%). Press both "Page Up" & "Page Down" at the same time. Then let go of both buttons at the same time. This will set it midway/default.

That last bit was interesting, I didn't know that.

How many people stay at the default 50%? I personally always zoom as far out as possible.

Heh, that would me also. I never play @ default or all the way zoomed in. I think the only time either of those are appropriate is screenshots only~.

Hold down ALT while on the rmap/bmap/cmap/any map to scroll faster o: it scrolls the whole map instead of your cursor.

Don't know if this was mentioned, but holding shift while using the arrow keys allows you to move the camera around at any time. Use the asterisk key to break target lock during combat, and you can move the camera 360 degrees
