BG west, doombard had Manning and MIN def, both came to play today it seems
It just seems to me like you're selectively remembering, because watching that game he was very impressive overall and no question showed flashes of brilliance. To sit there and say those things about that game... it's like me saying "Oh Les Miles got owned by Florida, what a crappy coach he's never done well."
Les Miles is a good coach, but gets fucking lucky like no other. All of those 4th down conversion chances, and "Oh, I didn't know there was 8 seconds left" bullshit really is just that of a gambler, which is why he has that sort of nickname.
Rodgers was 18-22, but like 165 yards. Anyone can be 18-22 if they throw 5-8 yard dumpoffs all game. I believe his longest completion was a short pass to Jennings, and Jennings got a huge YAC. Sorry, but he hasn't impressed me.
He hasn't particularly impressed me either, but that's because I expected him to be this good.
The main impressive thing is what he's been doing with that separated shoulder, if you ask me. He winces with every throw but can still whip the ball accurately and far downfield.
The main thing that's weird is how emotionless he seems to play. He'll throw a perfect pass for a TD and just jog off the field sometimes. It's...odd. He's definitely shown some flashes of brilliance though. I just hope that shoulder isn't going to be an issue for the entire season, because he's going to get driven into the ground again.
If I recall correctly he had at least one deep pass to Jennings, I remember my friend and I watching the game and me being excited about a possible upset and then he threw it up and I was yelling for Trufant to put his fucking hands up and then Jennings had a TD, because our corners are worthless. I was not happy.
Ahh, well I don't remember everything that far back. D:
