I simply disagree. I wish I could find the proof, but Braylon Edwards has been among the top 3 in drops over the last couple seasons. I know his catches per game would be considerably higher if he just caught the ball consistently. Unfortunately I can't look up the amount of looks he gets.

I don't know why, but I'm going to try one more time to explain this sensibly.

I don't even know where to start ugh.

Passing in professional football is about mismatches. Braylon Edwards is a wide receiver. You may have heard about these guys called cornerbacks. They're specifically developed and chosen for their ability to *match up* with wide receivers. In order to be a successful cornerback in the NFL, you *HAVE* to be able to keep a person like Edwards from being able to catch the ball on a whole lot more plays than he does.

Now, see, tight ends, on the other hand, do not have a counter position. There is nobody on the field specifically to match up with a 6'4" 250 pound freak of nature that runs a 4.5 40.

Terrel Owens and Randy Moss are examples of what happens when you have physical freaks matched up against people that just aren't capable of... matching up. That's what we call a mismatch. Guess who else are examples of this? Antonio Gates, Kellen Winslow, and Gonzo. Guess who's *not* an example of this? You guessed it! Braylon Edwards.

There is no player in the league who can effectively match up 1 on 1 with Kellen Winslow, period. As a result, he is the first option on the large majority of the Browns' plays, and he is the primary focus of opposing defenses.

Make up your damn mind on rather or not how often they're thrown to/catch matters, and stop fucking giving me shit about using actual numbers to back up my claims until you do, damn it.

braylon does get a lot of looks, they both get a ton. i think braylon had a abysmal 37% reception rate or something last year, by far worst in the league. that being said, watch a browns game k2 is more often than not the first read and for a multitude of reasons. he gets tons more favorable match ups and is basically always covered by a linebacker because safeties have to respect braylon over the top. he can also split out wide and out muscle corners. couple his versatility with the fact that he is far more reliable of a receiver and its easy to understand why he is the #1.

He won't come out and admit it, but I guarantee you Brady looked at Welker more times than Moss at the beginning of plays. Yes, actually, I would say Welker was the #1 receiver option for New England last year.

As for Housh, eh, it could go either way. Just because someone is labeled as the #1 WR doesn't mean they have the first looks, most targets, or most plays called in the huddle for his number.

    Info to look at:

Santonio Holmes plays the Randy Moss and Hines Ward plays the Wes Welker. Which is the #1 ? Ward by far.

Seriously people, I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but if you can't get direct tv, move.

Yeah they charge out the ass for that direct tv. I may buy it at the midpoint of the season if the price goes down. That's when all the regular season games are good anyway.

Wow, the Eagles just went down the field with a long drive and score. Brian Westbrook looks really good.

Edit: uh oh, Westbrook might be hurt ;o

These Redskins are starting to remind me the Redskins against the Giants. Jason Campbell is under pressure all the time, and I don't think he completed a pass yet.

Edit: Westbrook going to the locker room.

I had it when I had direct TV when I lived with my dad. Where I live now, Directv doesn't offer my local channels in HD, so I have cable. I love the NFL, but the extra games aren't worth losing almost all my series' in HD.
