If you have an AT&T router, will it only work with AT&T internet?

There's no such thing as an AT&T router that I know of, if you mean a 2Wire router then it's not SBC's or AT&T. Irregardless, w/e equipment you have should work w/ w/e ISP since you are using the same protocols: a, b, g, or n.
